  1. Hi, I went to the Caribbean as a solo three years ago and visited all the same islands you are visiting. Was nervous about leaving the ship and using the minibuses outside but it was easy, safe and so much cheaper. I would take a trip in the morning lasting 2/3 hours so no worries about missing the ship and then on return explore locally!
  2. Mine were in the cabin on arrival.
  3. Having had recent experience I did initially feel irritated that I had to access an app for booking restaurants, shows etc. But having used it I actually found it really useful and easy to use!
  4. I appreciate we all individually have different experiences but for anyone reading this who is about to embark on Iona just to say I was on this cruise and had a fabulous time!
  5. Many of the crew were wearing masks on Iona themselves but not all of them! There should be no concerns at all!
  6. I believe you can only book at Reception, not on TV.
  7. They were compulsory on the shuttle buses as well!
  8. Your cruise card is scanned and costs added to your account.
  9. There were many people wearing face masks during the embarkation on Iona and on the ship, particularly in the lifts.
  10. Not sure which cruise you are on but having just come off the Iona there were shuttle buses at Alicante, Barcelona and Lisbon and, I believe a port provided shuttle which was payable in Gibraltar.
  11. For information there was plenty of availability to book the shows in the Headliners Theatre, whilst on board!
  12. I was on this cruise and had a fabulous time! On sea days I thought there was plenty of entertainment! Always something going on!
  13. I have just come off Iona. I have insurance via my bank Lloyd's and they provided me with a personal insurance statement confirming that I was covered for cruises and Covid! Noone asked to see it at Southampton but it is a simple request to the bank and I wouldn't take the chance and not have it!
  14. I had to ask for a box of crunchy nut cornflakes every morning. They were always behind the counter! I could only assume that they wanted you to only have the cereals they buy in bulk!
  15. There is also a pool and jacuzzi indoors, in the skydome! Have checked and children over age of 8 accompanied by an adult can use the jacuzzis.
  16. I have just come off Iona and all pools and Jacuzzis were operational and very much in use!
  17. I have just come off Iona. The shops were expensive. Perfume, jewellery, clothes, alcohol, electronics etc. I had some OBC to use so bought a bag but nothing else really interested me. The shops were very busy though, I am thinking that many people were desperately trying to spend their OBC. You could certainly book excursions with it.
  18. I have just come off the Iona and there were very few books but this was looking after about 5 or 6 days into the cruise!
  19. I am referring to shows in the Headliners Theatre. The Limelight club was always fully booked.
  20. Hi, I have just returned from a cruise and although I booked shows beforehand there was plenty of availability whilst on ship as I cancelled and rebooked a number of times.
  21. Thank you so much for your replies! I thought I would arrive approx 12/1 p.m and leave it open for coming back! Your advice is appreciated!
  22. Have just booked a cruise for January and would like to book my rail tickets but of course, don't know my boarding or disembarking times! Am I safe to go ahead and hope that I cam embark or disembark to suit? Appreciate your advice. Thank you!
  23. There are excursions which you can book via Viator for 17th March but don't know whether its your preference to book via P and O.
