Thank you for the response. Ive been on many cruises on many lines and find I do not need to be in the upper class sections. I get just as much out of my cruise as the next guy. i don’t need a butler that’s for sure. id rather use my extra money for other trips. im not much of a beef eater either. But I’ve had some good prime rib on many cruises Lolol. after watching some videos on the food options I actually think I’ll be fine. I’m a big Italian food eater and chicken eater too so as long as I can get something along those lines I’ll be just fine. im actually looking forward to trying a new cruise line now. I just tried Princess for the first time and had an amazing time.

That’s why I’ve posted this thread. So I know what to expect if I take the cruise line. I don’t do specialty dinning. And will not pay 1000’s more for a certain class on a ship like haven or YC I’m not a baller. Lolol. thanks for the info.

thanks for the info. Solo cruiser here so not worried about a drink package. I think the ship does stop at its private island. I think I’ll be fine if I go one this trip.

I won’t be doing the YC that’s for sure. But I think I will give them a shot. As long as I have a balcony and there’s food onboard I’ll be good I guess. considering what everyone else has been saying. for the price of 700 for a balcony for a week can’t hurt I guess. a lot cheaper than spending 8 days on land in Florida.

im 100% not a yc kinda person. Lol. but for this price I think I’ll give it a shot. this is why I posted this so I could hear other’s opinions and like others said if I go in with low expectations and understanding how the lines differ. Could be a win win. was gonna do 8 days traveling around florida. but I’ve been many times and lived there so no big deal to skip it. cheaper that’s for sure.

Thanks everyone for the info. Yes the price point is great to fill a weeks time in between other cruises. I’m really not that demanding. I don’t drink so not worried about drink service. don’t really like having my room cleaned. I make my own bed and I’m not a pig. Lolol. So as long as I don’t go down with the ship my guess I’ll be fine.

I’m thinking about taking my first cruise on MSC. But I’m seeing so many bad reviews on different boards about how bad the food is. Others about the service. I have a few cruises planned on different lines and was thinking about adding this cruise into the mix i have 15 days on NCl and 8 days free then another week on RC. I’m not to demanding of a cruiser but food is important to me as I’m a little picky of an eater. will I be disappointed if I take this MSC cruise in between my other trips. the price sure is right. I was also on this cruise. 3416 pax. 4200 max Kids 600 2500 new to princess 44 different countries 1350 crew. was an amazing trip. I tried to stay on another week but the ship was totally booked. never felt like it was short staffed at all. Granted I never went to a bar for a drink but I did everything else lol.

I’m sure Dr Phil can help you with that. And yes you were comparing Cali weather. I was saying that that’s cut. go right ahead and compare, we beat Afghanistan in temps any day. Highest recorded temp in afghan 121. Now during a firefight was 136°. But we don’t have them here in the states. But we do have Death Valley at 136 for a record high. We had 15 days of over 115 and 5 days of 123+. still can’t walk out of a store with chocolate and not have it melt in a few seconds. Lololol.

Wish I could remember. I booked 2 weeks before cruise. And the only dinner times available were 845 and I don’t want that. But I think your right. That’s why I went to that DR. Walked right I. No wait my first night at like 6pm. And they put me down for the same time every night. same waiter and asstn same people next to me in my 2 top every night in a 4 top. turned out to be great dinner neighbors. Family of 4.

Yeah but you have to worry about everything else Bart has to offer. Lolol. Bay Area resident 35 years. Lol. I only have to deal with 100 days of 100° + temps and 10 minute Uber to the airport Lolol. But in that 10 minute walk to the terminal my chocolates toast. mask me how I know. Lol. Lol

I can’t travel with chocolate. By the time I get to the airport there melted. Unless I have a cooler.
