P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

You would think they would be a lot more understanding particularly given the profession you're all in. I hope you manage to get some rest and can unwind in between helping your parents. -

Thank you. I'm just praying mum stays on both feet and doesn't break any more bones while she's away! Just before Christmas, while in a boot with her second broken foot of last year, she managed to fall badly and damaged the ligament that holds the arm into the shoulder joint so she spent Christmas in a boot and a sling 😏 -

Taking some time off is probably a good idea, you've got a lot to cope with. I hope everything improves soon x -

Yes I think it was definitely too soon after his other appointments. They have an uncanny knack of making themselves go floppy and impossible to pick up don't they 🤣 -

I do. I went to the dentist this morning with my daughter and grandson so that I could keep him occupied after his check up while my daughter had hers. Grandson had other ideas as 2 years old often do. We'd prepared him, told him what would happen, but he went in the room with his mum, took one look at the dentist and came running out screaming. He wouldn't let me comfort him or pick him up so I just apologised profusely to everyone else in the waiting room, manhandled him outside where he continued to cry for his mum 😏He was very unwell before Christmas and needed several medical appointments and I think that's terrified him. -

Sorry to read that Sue, I hope she is showing signs of improvement tomorrow. Thinking of you. -

Sorry Sue, I’ve only just seen this, what a worry for you and them! Was there much damage to the car? The snowy weekend marked the start of a series of family issues here too 🥴 -

Hello everyone There's way too many posts for me to catch up on but I hope you all had a good Christmas and a good start to the New Year. 30 weeks until my cruise and I'm trying to eat all the Christmas chocolates and biscuits before I start my diet 😏 I've missed browsing on here but life got busy and a little fraught for a while. -
I booked a superior deluxe on this cruise at the end of May '22 and there were no aft or mid aft cabins of that category available back then, so went for mid forward. Prices have increased slightly since we booked, £59 pp.

Hello all, I’ve just dropped in to wish you all a very happy Christmas! I hope that you all all keeping well. Life has been a bit mad in our family lately so I’ve not had much time to myself. I’m hoping to find time to read through lots of posts that I’ve missed in a few days time. -

Yes I am! My son has watched every game so far, not just the British teams. The 2 England ones he watched at the pub with friends but the rest he’s watched at home. Not so bad when I’m out and about, or looking after our little one, but there’s been 8 games on just this weekend 🙄 Apparently there’s no morning matches after Monday 👍🏻 -

Nightmare! They don’t like being told 😂 Mum was on her own in the house and climbed on a chair to put something away, stepped down and slipped on the cats feeding mat & went flying 😳 -

Not intrusive at all 😊 Yes I’m pretty sure she has been checked for that. Until this year she hadn’t knowingly broken any bones and used to joke that she bounces. -

Thank you, we won’t be with them to help if she’s in a wheelchair for this cruise and they’re travelling with friends with mobility issues. We absolutely can’t believe she’s done it twice in the same year! Kalos, let’s hope she stops at 2, she’s had several telling off this evening 😂 -

Well, it’s 7 weeks until my parent’s next cruise and mum has broken her foot again today! It’s the same foot, but not the same bone as earlier this year. She under strict instructions to rest it completely as it took months to heal last time. -

Carcassonne is one of our favourite places to visit, although we haven’t been for quite a few years. -

Two hours must have been horrendous for you. When I had mine I didn't know that it would be noisy and I wondered what on earth was going on when it started up, I had to be face down which wasn't pleasant. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! -

What a wonderful experience! Oh Holy Night is my favourite carol -
We really liked our deck 9 mid-aft conservatory cabin, we would happily book it again. My sister had a deck 10 mid aft standard balcony and has booked a cabin in the same area for next year. The only problem we had with the doorways was not being able to get mum's wheelchair through the door (not an adapted cabin)
