  1. 3 weeks from receipt till we got them.
  2. They do wrap around the front of the ship, that is true,
  3. Enjoy, and let us know about it when you return.
  4. This was our first time in London (it was pre cruise) and we LOVED it.
  5. We have way more in common than different. People range off topic here???😱
  6. The point of the post was that there are different experiences. To be honest, I have never thought of it being important or not to have anonymity in any place, but that is me. We have had lots of different experiences cruising, from super big, big, medium, small and river cruises. Do they offer a different experience (in all sorts of ways)? Sure. Are there parts of each that we like, and things we do not? Absolutely. The ability to experience them for their uniqueness some may think is bad, for me, enhances the expereince. All that said, in our 75 + cruises, the vast majority have been on Carnival.
  7. I really do not have a dog in this fight, but for the sake of discussion, rules are put in place because they are needed. These forums are filled with people complaining about wild roaming kids. Hence the rules. We have all seen it. If kids behave there will not be a problem, if parents are really watching their kids, then we would not have issues. Nothing wrong with kids and teens enjoying themselves, when it infringes on other passengers, then there are issues. All this said with our 5 growing up on Carnival cruises.
  8. Prob better than renting a house or condo……. What to do, what to do….stay in a house that does not really work, or be on a cruise ship…. Without totally taking this off the reservation, we had a friend who worked for RCCL but left the business. They were rebuilding their house on the intercostal in the FLL area, and they were homeless for almost 17 months. They lived the dream in those months….it is true one has to afford it, but there is also a courage element on doing it.
  9. Do not want to make this a sidebar discussion, and for the record was not really referencing your post, but Tom’s expereince, or yours, or mine or Moz’s are in fact our collective experience. Simply what it is.
  10. Go forth (not vacation) and sin no more….no wait, skip that, do NOT go forth.
  11. One never knows….. On a semi serious note, when we cruised on Azamara in the med, we noticed on embarkation that staff was calling many passengers by name. I asked on that and was told many time (maybe the majority?) people cruise B2B2B and on. It was an eye opening experience, esp in reference to the cost of that cruise. That said, it sure would be nice…..
  12. Hopefully we have not reached the point where those of us who cruise or vacation more often than some others (or the average), do not have to apologize for the ability to do so.
  13. As a general rule, we love HOHO as an option. This was our first time in London, and while we knew traffic was an issue in advance, we decided to do the HOHO for several reasons, including the mobility issues of one of our party traveling. In a different time of year, we would try it again. I got off on one stop and decide to walk to the next, maybe 1/2 mile away (total guess on distance). I beat the bus……. There are advantages to doing HOHO, but if time is an issue (in terms of what you want to see and the time needed to do that is limited, it is a decision wher you you weigh the options. Let us know how your trip goes.
  14. Hub app is great fior this for the entire cruise.
  15. We did the HOHO in London last July and you could be a wheelchair and move faster than the bus. Pedestrian traffic was faster.
  16. You do realize there is no such thing as a booster….right?
  17. The first day it is a disaster, then it flows out the rest of the cruise.
  18. No moaning or ********** here. I doubt you are typical spending wise, but your loyalty factor makes the argue for the other side of the coin.
  19. There you go with the facts thing again…..
  20. So you cherry pick the “only” benefit that means anything to you, and then knock Carnival because it is only $10…. seems fair.
