  1. AFAIK, it's refundable OBC which means you get cash back at the end of the cruise. And if you have a positive balance on your account, you will probably be detained as you try to disembark, so make sure you take care of your account the night before. They cannot simply put it back on the credit card used for your onboard account.
  2. Yea, that $10 pp reduction is so worth a phone call to my PCC.
  3. Number of passengers has to be set to 1 in order to see solo availability.
  4. The post I read said that their PCC told them about it, so hard to say what's going on. I do have a 20% FCC that still has an expiration date - of course, that one I won't be using.
  5. Read on another site that CN certificates no longer have expiration dates. And sure enough, mine no longer have expiration dates. Glitch or new policy? Website still says 4 years.
  6. I was just going to start a new thread...Somebody posted on another site that they'd been told no more expiration dates. And sure enough, no dates on mine either
  7. Good question but if it's a continual loop, then Barcelona wouldn't be the first to board either, after the first loop. So just guessing but I would think they would offer a 2nd set of perks for people boarding in Rome, the next group in Barcelona, etc. I know that they do offer multiple tours and dinners, if enough people sign up, but of course that depends on the staff availability.
  8. You're not wrong. I only get them because they come with the room-service omelette.
  9. My mistake, I didn't notice the balcony part. But I am speculating that it will reappear before I have to make final payments of upcoming cruises.
  10. I believe the OBC you get is refundable so yes, you'd get back whatever you don't spend. Doesn't change the math. But the math doesn't change either if you just request a statement credit, no need to mess with obc. And the $250 wouldn't go back on your CC - they can't refund onboard account to the card you have on file. They give you cash.
  11. Oh lordy lordy - the 50% sale is on (actually 2nd person free) So here come the claims of huge Black Friday/holiday savings. Gonna rush right out and claim that $10/pp savings - over what I had 2 days ago with that measly 35% off. Note, cruise #1 has already gone down by about $800, so of course it would look like a big savings if I hadn't already taken the price drop. Just booked cruise #2 so no history of price drops. But there's still double up...
  12. There's a good chance they make them, they don't do a lot of frozen stuff - but can't say for certain. Something to ask next time I'm on a galley tour. I was on the Sky last month and got hash browns with my room-service breakfast.
  13. If you are eligible for FCC from a price drop, it's 100% of the difference, all things equal - perks, cabin category/ location. I think I've usually heard within a week but because of the current situation they're probably a little backed up. Not sure if they'll let you cancel and rebook, although the net result would be the same but it would mean you're initially tying up more money. So you'd basically be paying to have additional FCC.
  14. It's not necessary to be in a solo cabin to go to the solo meetings/dinners. NCL has also introduced a "solo" category for all ships, so inside, OV, and balconies at a slightly reduced cost over double occupancy for those categories. If the ship has a solo lounge, you also get access to it.
  15. Regular airport transfer, yes. It's the post-cruise excursions ending at the airport that they aren't posting until day 50.
  16. You do not have to buy two tickets, a solo pays half price. But if there are two on the reservation, they invoice passenger #1 for the full amount, passenger #2 is free.
  17. I was able to book an excursion when they finally posted them. It's listed as 6 hours, so still have a long time at the airport. I also had the Stonehenge tour booked in 2020, that didn't happen. The 50 days is new unfortunately.
  18. Spirit is doing a lot of private charters and Asia/Australia for the next couple of years. Long way to go if your primary interest is the ship experience.
  19. I've taken them several times. In fact, I just booked a cruise ending in Reykjavik in June - and it would be nice to see what's offered. In most cases, it is what it is, more or less but in April, my cruise ends in Seward, too early for train service and some bus routes. And I'll be doing my own airfare, so it would be nice to know if they'll offer the trip that goes to the wildlife center for example. My flight on my upcoming cruise doesn't leave until almost midnight so anything helps!
  20. Had that happen once also. And they also cancelled the regular shuttle - that didn't go over well with me! But they reversed that decision, fortunately. By already been offered, I meant on the website.
  21. Yea, it's new, probably affecting anything going forward. Guessing they won't pull any that have already been offered.
  22. Sort of. Too many people booking, then cancelling once they got their flights if it didn't work out. I've had my flights for weeks but still nothing until day 50. In the past I'd been told to book it ahead of time and the folks doing the flights would look to see if they could book a later flight. And if I'm booking my own flights/hotels, I'm probably going to book them more than 50 days out. Maybe they could list what they plan to offer and require your flight info before you are allowed to book? The lady I spoke to when I called was kinda rude about it - she thought it was a great idea, saved them a lot of time and effort. Oh well, more business for the local tour guides...
  23. If anyone is wondering why there aren't any airport transfer excursions, NCL, in their infinite wisdom (NOT!) has decided to wait until day 50 to release post-cruise excursions. Makes planning just that more difficult IMHO. But, true to their word, they did magically appear at day 50 for my upcoming cruise.
  24. Any ship that is going where I want to go is my favorite. I don't choose my trips based on the ship.
