  1. It might sound like I'm splitting hairs here, but what's required here is an app. The app does not have to be accessed only by a cell phone. Our friend says she uses her Ipad. I assume there is also an android application for other devices like that. Some of the problem inexperienced users are having is trying to do everything on a tiny cell phone screen. I don't think everyone understands that apps can work on other mobile devices that might be easier to navigate. "Phone app" is sometimes a misleading term. Of course, Princess has now provided a web site for those who can't handle the phone app. I also see that Australia is saying the app is the only way at this time. Who knows what the future will bring?
  2. No doubt, but the OP said specifically they aren't doing Club Class.
  3. I guess you didn't appreciate Arizona Wildcat's little joke. πŸ™ƒ So it isn't necessary to use a cell phone to do the Australian ETA?
  4. 🀣 Is it possible to use a desk top computer to get that ETA or is the tiny cell phone screen the only option?
  5. Most staff are excellent, but I don't know if you can get the same people every night. If you figure it out, please let us know.
  6. They were using the entire dining room just for Club Class?
  7. Bring your book. Princess libraries continue to shrink and there are mostly games there (Scrabble, etc., multiple sets.) I always take a fully loaded Kindle.
  8. This is a great itinerary. I've done it a couple of times.
  9. 😧 I have sympathy for you, OP. I see several others here are also kind people who have given you useful advice rather than jeer at you.
  10. That was a sad day. We met a wonderful sommelier years ago on the Pacific Princess who taught me more about wine than any of those on board wind tastings.
  11. Yes, people's appearance does tend to change over the course of 45 years. πŸ™„
  12. You have a point! I guess I was hoping in vain for a decent vegeburger on deck. πŸ˜‰
  13. Blocked off in that regular diners from the MDR can't go sit in CC. I don't remember the ship and it was pre-covid, but one time the staff had placed chairs in the aisle, literally blocking off access. With everything else, I imagine things vary from ship to ship.
  14. Not exactly on topic, but do you know if they are serving Beyond Burgers at the deck grill or do they still have their version of a "vegeburger" (aka fried paste)?
  15. I will be finding all this out for myself next month, but from prior observation, it looks like there is a long line to get into the regular MDR and a much shorter one for CC. The entrances are on opposite sides of the ship, but they both go into the same room. The CC area is blocked off from the rest of the dining room.
  16. I think the word you are looking for is "realistic." πŸ™‚
  17. I think the ship has more than one person to deal with emergencies.
  18. The space belongs to Princess, as does the lounger.
  19. Maybe a younger crowd prefers beer over wine? Sounds like the new Princess attitude.
  20. There's always an excuse that isn't "It's our fault."
  21. Spell checker? There is an old Latin maxim we should all remember: De gustibus non est disputandum. Look it up.
  22. It looks like the trend is to replace Vines with the Gastropub. Wine drinkers yield to beer drinkers.
