Not that I’m trying to bring the convo back on track but if NCL is listening please make American Diner complimentary…would greatly help crowd control and is such a cute place to eat that no one wants to pay extra for. O/T I love playing shuffleboard on cruise ships! Couldn’t find it on the Joy in feb but was certain it was there on a previous cruise. Hoping to find it on our next cruise, getaway in October.

Thanks for responding! Never saw the kids menu til someone recently posted it…when I hit the adult cruise food wall I’ll be going for the kids pizza and mac n cheese comfort food. (Hoping that’s good too) 🙃

How is the pizza off the kids mdr menu? Thought I might give that a try when I run out of vegetarian options.

Thanks so much! I will definitely check out that resort. I always bring a pool ring for ocean vacations…nice to float but more importantly they assure my exit from the ocean. I’ve seen many people struggle getting out being whipped by waves. Me included. 🫣 Soo embarrassing losing your top.

Really enjoyed following your review after cruising in feb/mar on Joy, our favorite ship (so far!). Was a joyful read. Have to give a shout out to our favorite in the Haven with I think the corrected spelling…Assistant Concierge Anerag.

I don’t take many pictures of food but happy to say I found the OMG Carmel butterscotch cheesecake. Sooo delightful.

Hoping someone answers your question about ability to book dining reservations before making final payment. I am wondering how that works as well. I’m one of the rare cruisers who prefers specialty dining over the haven restaurant. Being a no shellfish pescatarian the options are very limited in the haven.

Enjoying your cocktail pictures. My new favorite from last cruise is the Rye and Rum Sour in Maltings. Second favorite that I asked to be made was a Green tea cocktail (shot over ice).

I once moved someone’s reserving towels at a resort. No one was there for the hours we had been there and asked around. No one had seen people there. I was in the pool when they returned but my poor dh was asleep on the lounger when a man came charging at him screaming how dare we take his chairs. You wouldn’t believe how animal like he was. How dare we take his chairs when he got up at 6am to reserve them. If we wanted them we should get up at 6 am he screamed. I asked where they had been since 6am… they were on a bike excursion. Lol. And we were the ignorant ones. It was after 1 pm when they returned.

I think I will end up with just his dessert. Am vegetarian who eats some fish..not sushi or shell. Was excited about the cheese platter til I read it is mostly goat and sheep cheese. Oh well.

We were on the feb 24th sailing and didn’t have any problem getting our peach Bellinis…timing might have been everything though…would get a mimosa and peach Bellini to bring back to our aft cabin right after breakfast. 😁 Not too much activity at the bar then. I’d keep asking. Maybe they were out of peach juice when you asked.

As all have said... well behaved children are always welcome near me. Last trip we had a satanic beast who turned 3 during the trip. Each meal time the child had no less than 3 staff members chasing them around and scooting them out of the kitchen. Parents were non-parental (nicest way I can say it without bluntly calling them the worst in the world I've ever seen). I think it was a mom and grandma looking after little Ivy. The fact that everyone in the Haven knew this kids name and was warning each other to hold off on going to meals when she was sitting in there is enough to be said... You are being much too kind here…lol

Can you use fas dining credit at the raw bar (getaway) and if so how much can you choose?

They were not in my cabin on Joy feb 24 sailing. I’ve never seen them before but overheard a passenger next to me ask the concierge for them…so asked what they were and were given some too. 😁

Best of luck tmro traveling. You are brave. Selfishly I’d love to know how the Cabo connection would work out…would be a much warmer start for you, ha. I never thanked you for mentioning the price drop earlier. Pretty sure it was your post I read right after making final payment…horrified to read and then see how much it dropped. I called immediately and saved a ton of money. So thank you. If only I was a beer drinker we could be future friends (good luck with that as well!) 🙂

Dang, I made the mistake of asking people in the line if it was for people with reservations. Live and learn.
