Looking at the Hyatt Centric just north of the port. Anyone stay there? Again, we will use points so essentially free.

Great suggestions, we are Hyatt folks so will look up the Hyatt place, will likely get a free room at that one.

Hi all, Flying into FLL 4/26 for a cruise the 27th on Enchanted. Any suggestions on a nice hotel for the overnight? We have never actually departed a cruise from Ft Lauderdale, only arrived and departed to the airport. Thanks for any suggestions.

OK, thank you for the info, I will leave it be for a while and see what happens.

OK, I made a new booking that includes Wi-Fi, drinks and tips. Every time I check the booking, it seems to keep adding Tips at $360.00 in the "Add On" area, which I then remove/delete, but the next day it is back. Anyone come across this before?

Magic Carpet adjacent room question
martinitime1 replied to martinitime1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
OK, thank you, it actually dawned on me after I booked about the MC being midship on our side. -
Hello all, We have just booked cabin 7192 IV on Beyond which is 5 rooms down from the magic carpet sky suites popout and of course the magic carpet. Are we too close to the MC and suite popout?

Thank you Kenster for the info, we would usually do any needed mid-trip laundry in the machines on the ship but not an option on these boats, any other tidbits of info for us newbies to the Avalon world?

Hello all, this will be our first river cruise Amsterdam to Paris on Imagery II. We are Princess folks usually but have a question about luggage and laundry. How is luggage handled to get from hotel to ship? Do we just shlep it ourselves or does Avalon somehow transfer to ship? Second, how is laundry handled on the ship? We will definitely need laundry services on the boat. Thanks for any info, Chris

Beyond/Edge class Infinite Veranda question
martinitime1 replied to martinitime1's topic in Celebrity Cruises
So, a regular couch. Thank you for the info. -
We are looking to book our first X cruise on Beyond, long time Princess cruisers. Have a question, some cabins designate a single or double sofa bed (solid or outline square) and others have no specific designation. What is in those other cabins? A standard sofa? What size?

7 day California Coastal Cruise on the Royal Princess
martinitime1 replied to trbarton's topic in Princess Cruises
My wife and I are just off this cruise. We cruised with three others in our party. This was by far the least enjoyed cruise on Princess ever. I had made dining reservations every night, private table for 5 at 6pm in Concerto, all but one night were converted to just two of us at a shared table, Tuesday was the only night that was correct, not one person cared or even tried to correct the problem. All we were told was to go down to Symphony and do anytime dining. I was livid. Heard others with similar issues. They need to figure out the dining, unacceptable. Food was very hit or miss, small portions and just not very good, the fettucine was really tasty except the last night which tasted like noodles with milk, no taste at all, and service took absolutely forever most nights. The pizza place was good, thank God. Had burgers on Lido one day, burger buns were hard and stale, just nasty. Crooners was actually using plastic martini glasses. I got glass only because I asked every time. Absolutely ridiculous. Everything seemed just really off. Ironically, Jan Swartz made a visit to Royal during the cruise, boy would I have liked to have a sit down chit chat. LOL This cruise was a 180 from our TA we did on Emerald in November. -
Get ya' a Dirty Banana with Myers Coconut rum in lieu of the regular issue rum. You're welcome.

Wrong, The two Gem-class ships, Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess, are the only two ships based on the Grand class to be built at Mitsubishi's Nagasaki Yard.

Completed Ocean Ready but still Blue Lane?
martinitime1 replied to FantasiCat's topic in Princess Cruises
Too bad, the blue lane people will be put into a pen with a small bottle of warm water to wait to board until all the green lane folks have boarded while provided with champagne and lobster canapes. -
