  1. Please see comments above (did you?) The menu rotates daily. I believe there are three versions at this time. The app is likely incorrect until you board.
  2. Every ship I have been on rotates the shows daily. On occasion we have gone twice because the food has been exceptional.
  3. The previous Qzine was awful.
  4. I'm fairly sure it's been stated, multiple times, that the app is frequently incorrect until just prior to boarding.
  5. why? What's the problem? Looks like an orderly exchange of comments and ideas to me.
  6. I don't think you know what you are talking about or you are not explaining correctly.
  7. That is known as onboard credit. You do not earn onboard credit in the casino.
  8. yes, and it loaded to your card to play with.
  9. You don't even have to ask, it's loaded to your card.
  10. We're talking about free cruises NOT Celebrity "stuff". If you don't use your points you can trade them in for Celebrity underwear.
  11. Happens all the time, which is why the charge after 11pm was originally implemented. Further, towel service is a ridiculous analogy. Of course I am pro-Celebrity more times than not, which is why I still cruise on Celebrity. On the other hand, I find it questionable when people do nothing but complain but still cruise on the line. Some people just complain without any critical thinking behind it.
  12. why on earth would it be cost-free? There are numerous venues to get your own food. Having a multiple people load a tray and hand deliver to you is costly. Why shouldn't you pay for the convenience. Also, why should the cost be rolled into higher cruise fares for everyone, when only a few get room service? There is also a problem with people ordering room service and then falling asleep before it comes. Wasted effort, wasted time, wasted food. About time they charged for it imo
  13. The casino is a vendor. The Casino host cannot answer a lot of the questions posters here have asked. It isn't the host's fault. Also, he has no control over who gets offered a comped cruise. That criteria is decided in the casino home office and changes frequently. Your guessing, is just that, a guess.
  14. My mother was 18 when she maried and had me. I was 21 when I had my first child. So...my mother was 36 when I became 18 and 39 when she became a grandmother. Not so common today, but certainly not heard of. However, the bar statements are just wrong. On a port day he may had a little difficulty in finding a bar during the day that made frozen drinks or specialty drinks. Maybe.
  15. Do not agree with your analogy. If he sent 80% of his income home (hypothetical) then he simply had not saved enough for a large purchase. That would be an exception rather than the rule imo
  16. I will say that back in college, I preferred tips in cash (whether the bill was paid in cash or by card). 1). It kept my employers from knowing how much I was actually making and them deciding to rearrange stations or hours based on it, 2) allowed me to be in control of what earnings I reported to the IRS, and 3) prevented my employer from reducing the tip by 3% (or prevailing rate) they had to pay to the cc processor. This however is irrelevant to the discussion regarding cruise lines.
  17. well... I ordinarily wear a 2x and the aqua robes do not fit...by a lot
  18. As I said, mathematical ignorance logistically flawed. You likely believe in other conspiracy theories as well. Have you not heard of or experienced inflation? Salaries must go up, including gratuities. Also, 55 posts? You probably just get a kick out of provoking the readers. That would make you a number of names I am prohibited from using.
  19. further, stick to the lines that include tips in the fare and state that they do. Sailing on a ship that is less expensive but adds on tips, which you routinely remove without cause is draconian, punitive to the staff, and just plain mean. Shame on you.
  20. It's likely that everything has not been updated yet. If you aren;'t sure, ask when you are on board.
  21. If you think OBC is "free money", you are delusional (or simply can not add). Nobody is going to change the practice of gratuities for service positions. It's a custom. If you don't like it, do NOT sail on ships that expect you to tip. That reflects poorly on you, not the cruise line.
