  1. We are in our 60's and LOVED Edge. We have done 32 cruises, all of the Oasis class ships and we still put Edge as our favorite. So it is hard to compare as its not "apples to apples". Two different types of experiences. We are doing Symphony in October but it will probably be our last big ship. We have Apex booked next year, and I am more excited to do this than Symphony. To Each His Own Opinion.....
  2. Your experience is not unusual, it's the way people are now a days. You might want to try Celebrity and never go when kids are out of school. That is what we do (retired) and it works good for us. People are just rude and disrespectful everywhere.
  3. Lots of storage you will love it. Don't worry, be happy,😁
  4. To answer your question yes the cruise lines read CruiseCritic. A few years ago we were told this by one of the officers. We almost canceled a cruise on Celebrity Edge because so many of the reviews here we're not that great. So glad we didn't, was best cruise ever,😁
  5. Yes your account will show you have the OBC. Just go online book it and it will deduct it.
  6. We will be sailing on Symphony in October and would like to know the good or the bad about the restaurants. Is Hooked good? Is Chops or any of the others worth the extra money? We have sailed all the other Oasis ships but have been doing Celebrity the last few years. Wondered how these restaurants are. Which would you recommend? Thank you,
  7. My husband and I had no issues with storage. The dresser is good size. I took 2 pant hangers that hold 4 pairs each. The robes in our room were a new thinner material. We hung them on bathroom door. Lots of small cubby space you just need to find it. Next to beds are 3 cubbies on each side. Now if I had to take clothes for 10 nights or more it would be hard.
  8. We are late 60's and loved the ship. We have done many cruises and loved the technology, service, decor, etc. We will be back on her and Apex. We had no complaints.
  9. I was told the ship has never sailed FULL. Also was told the high end suites are being left empty if not booked. I could do without the Carpet, I think that was a little crazy. We sat out on it once for a drink when we were in port. No big deal to us.
  10. Our window was locked once for only a few hours because they ran the window washing machine. Other than that we had no issue.
  11. We had rm 8169 a IV balcony. We were afraid we wouldn't like it but now we don't want to cruise without one. We loved the shows, food, etc.
  12. He has never applied or asked for VA benefits, we know he doesn't get a pension from them. All we have is a certificate that says Honorable Discharge from the Armed Forces US Army with DD Form 256A.
  13. We just got off Edge and love it. Will sail again if prices don't go too crazy.
  14. My husband has a Honorable DD Form 256A type of discharge from the Army for his time in the Reserves. Does this qualify him for the Military discount on cruises? Has anyone used this? Thank you,
  15. We are packed and leave Sunday. We also thought of cancelling but now hope we enjoy it. We will review when we get back.
