  1. I apologize that my original question seemed to offend people. I don’t like wearing a lanyard because I have to for work but I have no care in the world what others do and certainly didn’t feel the question would offend anyone.
  2. No worries…east coast US…dollar stores abound in shocking numbers.
  3. I just don’t understand people much of the time…a show would in no way entice me to be rude to others, nor would a pool, and definitely not a buffet….
  4. Thank you. I will pack a small one when we go on our cruise.
  5. I don’t enjoy messy gooey bar of hand soap and pack a pump soap of some kind for travel if needed. Will I need one or do that have a pump on Edge? I saw a walkthrough video on YouTube and there was a pump but I don’t want to assume as it could be lotion.
  6. Lunch looks perfect. Thinking that’ll be a good spot for me. Can you take the beach towels off the ship? I’m trying to remember what I did the last time I sailed on Celebrity to Bermuda pre Covid…won’t need it for my Alaskan cruise, but have a Key West/Bahamas one booked that might involve a self guided beach adventure.
  7. This is true but it’s nicer in warm weather, by a pool, with a frozen beverage. Keep the pictures coming…I am enjoying them!
  8. I’m so sad to not be there…lol…I’m on vacation this week but at home. 😞
  9. My only cruise to Alaska was with Disney (with my kids who went in the water in the outdoor pool.) I don’t know if Celebrity will have them open, but I wouldn’t discount outdoor swimming if she’s really into it. Temps could also be warmer than expected (or colder) hard to predict this far out. Our plan if the weather is nice in Seattle is to have embarkation day be a pool day for sure.
  10. Thank you. I’d be bringing a backpack off the ship…
  11. That’s exactly what I’m looking for too.
  12. To piggyback on that…on mine there are no lunch reservations listed on any sea day…does that happen later?
  13. I literally was typing something similar. I sm sure there are standard protocols, but any situation has its own nuances and actions taken.
  14. These make me laugh…I am a steerage girl as well…not a chance I could shift suites regularly so I’m not inclined to even try it out. This will be DHs first cruise this summer (later in life marriage) and I am sooooo hoping for a good experience. He is extremely social and I actually want a set dining time/servers instead of anytime because I think he’ll love having the sane person and getting to know them. On a positive note, he really has no basis to know whether the service is celebrity level or not and our next cruise is on Silhouette so the first two experiences will likely be different anyway, albeit both in steerage. 😂
  15. Yes did this recently as I wanted the bed in the middle of the room which I didn’t know when I booked. I called after doing a “fake booking” so I had a sense of what I wanted and what was available. I had no issues switching.
  16. That’s what I’ve done before but figure we have hotel points so staying is “free” so outside of food a beach/pool day before the cruise can’t hurt.
  17. We are sailing out of FLL next Aoril for spring break (Easter week) and I’m actually debating flying in 2 days before embarkation just in case…figure wurst case scenario we would be able to drive the 25 hrs. lol. Seriously, I have heard a lot of stories this year of canceled flights that I’m trying to think proactively.
  18. Agreed…the port pictures are the best…rugged, raw, and real…best of the bunch as far as I’m concerned.
  19. I feel trapped and tethered to work with one on…
  20. That is crazy but we do that too to save $ and allocate it to other things.
  21. Yep I actually am thinking I might be able to stick it in my case…I’m going to try with my work ID or a credit card…it pops off easily enough.
  22. Ahhh so that’s what blue chip means in posts. I always wondered if it were some type of reward credit card…🤦‍♀️
