That's what I fear. After these cancellations, we're on the third cruise -- and the next likely target. Wondering if we should punt now to the Oct/Nov 2023 cruise of the Viva with a similar itinerary, or go with the Breakaway (with fewer ports we want to see, but it's the same dates).
I'm on an October Viva sailing and getting a little nervous. Just paid a refundable deposit on a different cruise line for the same week as a back-up option.

They took a good look at the size of most passengers
And decided they didn't need to be sitting around eating chocolate at 12AM
Yeah...that's it. 🤣

I was in one of these rooms a few months ago. There was definitely some noise sometimes, but not often enough to make me reconsider staying there again. I heard chairs scraping overhead at least twice, but it didn't wake me up every night. I remember hearing splashing from the pool one afternoon when I was on the balcony. The shade and privacy of deck 9 was great, although it was still hot and sunny some mornings. All in all, I would stay on deck 9 again. If you're very sensitive to noise you may want to reconsider, but it didn't really bother me or my husband.
Thanks! I just booked cabin 9477!

Thinking about booking a Havana aft balcony on the Horizon. Deck 9 looks the best because the balcony is shaded and private...BUT...can anyone who has stayed in one tell me how much noise you experienced from the lido deck directly above?
Thanks.

I recommend you check out Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas. It is one of their smaller ships so it does not have all the bells and whistles that attract families. I agree with the suggestion to avoid months when families are on vacations. I also agree that Mediterranean is not a relaxing cruise. It is very port intensive and wonderful for seeing many sights in a short amount of time. My husband and I are booked on Brilliance for 3 weeks starting 9/25/23. We will visit 18 different ports. I sailed on Brilliance several years ago for Mediterranean and would not hesitate to recommend that class of ship. As for relaxing, I would recommend a southern Caribbean cruise (with lazy beach days) or an Alaskan Cruise. Good luck!
I agree completely. My first Mediterranean cruise was on Brilliance in 2019. I've been on a few cruises since then, but none have had the magic of waking up each day in a different port or country from my beautiful aft balcony.

Never on Caribbean cruises
We had to change the clock four times on our 7-day Caribbean cruise last year on NCL.

Without trying to sound a bit silly, why don't you ask the people you booked with? At least map co-ordinates. A reliable, responsible company would give better information, but then you booked with a third party. Try google,.
Google? I never thought of that! 🤪
I'll file this under the "I don't know" category. Thanks for your help.

Take a look at Celestyal Cruises. They're based in Greece.

Good morning. I booked a Mykonos tour through Viator. The meeting point is listed as "right next to the Bus Station in Old Port".
How far is that from where tender boats arrive and what is the best way to get to the meeting point?
Thanks!

I have not been on the Sunshine, but when I was on the Freedom earlier this year, I was able to locate a European outlet behind the bed for the bedside lamps. I unplugged one of the lamps and, using an adapter, I was able to use my cpap without running an extension cord to the desk!
I also located a hidden American-style plug behind the TV, but I didn't need it.
Hope this helps.

Why's that? The catch all excuse, labor shortage?
I should've noticed this sooner on Port Valet's web page: "Current participating cruise lines: Celebrity, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess, Royal Caribbean"

Seattle's Port Valet luggage program is not being offered by Carnival during the 2022 season.
That's a shame. I had already signed up and entered all my info. 🙁

There didn't seem to be lasting effects from the power outage there was no need to alert the guests.
I'm sure anyone sleeping with a CPAP machine noticed. 😳

We loved our aft extended balcony on deck 8. Great view overlooking the Havana area and of course, the wake. We did not have an issue with soot or noise. If there was a lack of privacy, it didn't bother me at all.
Did your balcony have much shade? Thanks.

I went that exact week this year. I am a 60 year old retired, travels solo. This was my favorite cruise ever! Peacefull and I met wonderful people, very few children. However, I must qualify this with the ship was sailing at a 50% capacity then…. I would expect 100% next year, that might make a difference.
That's exactly how my Caribbean cruise was on Freedom, same week.

Panorama is chill, I would cruise on her anytime.
Thanks. I think I'll opt for a Havana aft balcony which means I'll be able to avoid some of the Lido deck craziness.

My January cruise offers Paradise Cove for $80 pp. Is it worth $80 for only 3 hours?
