  1. Thanks everyone. I called and got the Princess Plus package added to my existing reservation.
  2. I want to add Princess Plus to a recently booked cruise, but if I add it online they want $1,200 payment now. Is this normal?
  3. Future NCL cruises could skip every port...because they can.
  4. I'm booked on the Joy for September, which will be my last NCL cruise (for awhile). I just saw Elements on the Jade so I guess we'll also have to resort to making our own fun as well. I have two MSC cruises booked for 2025...we'll see.
  5. Carnival requires you to create a 4 digit PIN when calling about your cruise, but that's for phone only. You can cancel a cruise online with only the booking number, but first you need to log in to your online account. Not sure how one would cancel with only the booking number without logging in. 🤔
  6. Good morning all. My 2025 Carnival cruise will be visiting Holyhead, Wales. According to Carnival's website: "Water shuttle sometimes required; varies by sailing." I think we're the only ship in port that day, June 22, 2025. Has anyone traveled there lately, and did your ship dock or tender? Thanks.
  7. Balcony cabins on the Sky and Star are crazy expensive. Since Europe itineraties are usually port-intensive, you may be fine with an inside or oceanview cabin.
  8. Good morning, I just booked my first two Princess cruises, but when I log into My Account on their website, I can only see my first booking, it's telling me "Your next cruise is in xxx days" Is there a way I can see my other booking, or better yet, all my booked cruises on one screen? Thanks.
  9. Unfortunately, it's the new normal with NCL. I have grown weary of this nonsense. I cancelled both of my 2025 NCL cruises and re-booked on other cruise lines. 😡
  10. Lately Norwegian's itineraries have become just suggestions of port stops. In many cases you won't really know until after final payment or even after you've boarded.
  11. OK, I did it. Booked Yacht Club for a Mediterranean cruise in Oct. 2025. Looking forward to it.
  12. I really want to try an MSC European cruise in the Yacht Club, but the deposit is non-refundable. Since I usually book cruises many months in advance, I can't be certain something won't happen to necessitate a cancellation. I recently booked a Celebrity cruise and paid a $900 premium for a refundable deposit. Has anyone here been able to get a refundable deposit on Yacht Club? Thanks.
  13. Same here. It's too bad because many other cruise lines have such unimaginative itineraries. On the other hand, it's nice that you can count on going where they say they will go.
  14. I agree. I had a 9-day Baltic cruise booked with NCL for next May, but I have rebooked with a 12-day on Carnival just for the reasons you stated.
  15. It's called spin. NCL is notorious for dropping ports for "environmental" reasons or any other cockamamie reason they can concoct...and usually after final payment. Yes, it's within their rights, but that doesn't make it right. I'm a fan of NCL overall, but this nonsense has to stop. No other cruise line routine pulls this kind of stunt as often as NCL.
  16. I, too, just booked my first MSC cruise...a 7-nighter from NY to Bermuda on Meraviglia. Trying to keep an open mind.
  17. You can use the standard Europe adapter, but the lamp won't be plugged in. The link I sent is in case you wanted to plug in a US and European plug.
  18. Not too easy to reach. I laid on the floor next to bed and reached under. I wouldn't want to do it every day, but it was worth it. With this adapter, you can plug the lamp back in too: https://a.co/d/1rnluAU
  19. I recently tried to book a Princess cruise and was frustrated because I couldn't choose a cabin with occupancy of more than two. Now it all makes sense. That's actually a better method than letting us book it and bump us later, but it still stinks.
  20. I don't know if I would call HAL's website "hostile", but it could be a lot better. Princess is the worst, and surprisingly, Carnival's in one of the best I've used. Go figure.
  21. Would it be possible to book a cabin for 3 and then delete the third person just before the cruise leaves?
