  1. Good morning all. We're a couple of age 60+ retirees, and have only been on one Carnival cruise (so far); to the Caribbean the 2nd week of February. I was a little nervous because everyone told me that it would be a crazy party vibe. It was fine, no more of a party vibe than NCL or Royal. Carnival had the friendliest passengers I've ever met.

Now I'm thinking of booking a Mexican Riviera cruise, also the second week of February for next year. So, my question is, how crazy an atmosphere should I expect this trip to be?

    Thanks.

  2. I've sailed on NCL twice and Carnival once and I have more cruises planned on both. NCL food, entertainment and ship condition were better. Open bar is nice. My fellow passengers on Carnival were the friendliest by far. On one of my NCL cruises, people were downright anti-social, and on the other they were slightly better.

Don't sweat it; you won't regret sailing on NCL.

Are you looking for an invoice for a booked cruise.  If so, you should have received invoice/ confirmation automatically.  Many times, I get more than 1.  Call Customer Service.  By the way I've called CS and other departments many times over and never got a sales pitch.

Ps.  If you know your booking number you can get information on Royal's website.

Nope, I never automatically get an invoice. That would be ideal...just like NCL and Carnival!

  4. I used to call Royal's automated assistant to get cruise confirmations, but lately when I try, I'm asked for my agency number. When I say "I don't have one" I'm routed to a live agent who first has to try to upsell. I always thought it was strange that Royal doesn't send a confirmation after booking anyway.

Anyone have any better luck with the automated assistant?

  5. I called this morning to cancel one of my reservations, something I've done countless times over the last several months. Except, this time the "process" took the agent 51 minutes to complete! Then she told me that there was a penalty...nope...then she said it would be issued as a credit...nope again...finally the light went on and I was told I'm getting a refund. I can do this whole process with one or two clicks on Carnival or Celebrity!. 🤬

I have been curious about this, we are cruising next May from San Francisco to Alaska on the Miracle and there are no excursions listed for Tracy Arm or Icy Strait Point. I keep wondering if excursions will be offered later? Can you explain how the excursions work for Tracy Arm and at what point can I book them? Thank you!

The excursion I booked was actually listed under "Seattle".
