    Nah - Carnival isn't to blame here. The sleezy travel agent is. Your beef is with him - not Carnival. Straighten it out with the travel agent - get your money back - and then repay Carnival.

    Approximately $85-$125 or so depending on the type of vehicle (purely an estimate).

    I have to revise my earlier post about how many affected airplanes United has - it's 79 - not 12. I think I was quoting just a subset of the specific type - not the overall number. I'm sorry.

    I guess I don't understand OP's point. YOU made the decision not to test. Are you suggesting Celebrity physically force you to take a test?

    I think the reason is the lack of that extra weight lightens the car's weight for MPG, etc.

    Looks as if United only has about 12 of those planes. It's estimated to take b/t 4-8 hours to inspect each one. You'll probably be okay.
