  1. Hmmm - mine has been charged less both times given no alcohol. Of course, I had to remind my TA to ensure my daughter was charged less.
  2. She'll have the Plus package with the zero alcohol drinks package. She'll be charged a bit less for it. My daughter (14) has had it twice. She gets everything but the booze.
  3. I absolutely agree Princess should have responded to you in a timely fashion. there's no excuse for that and I would be irritated, too.
  4. Couldn't afford to buy real butter growing up, only used marjoram on bread....
  5. Very smart to purchase the insurance. Hopefully, the policy references reimbursement for this type of bizarre situation. True - you have an incredibly story to share. Glad you made it home safely.
  6. I'm really sorry this happened to you. I would be frustrated too - however, I don't see how MSC is at fault here. Just review your travel insurance policy and determine what, if anything, can be reimbursed.
  7. Nah - waiving to someone who is being left behind indicates a lack of something....perhaps a heart?
  8. What a wonderful review and utterly beautiful pics. You certainly have a wonderful eye for photography!
  9. How could any ship have struck it? It was lit up like a Christmas tree. Something very wrong happened on that ship....
  10. NO - you're not crazy. I've done the same thing in the past.
  11. OP - I hope everything turns out okay regardless of what action you take. Being injured while on vacation is never fun.
  12. I've done it with my daughter (26-transatlantic/Russia cruise) and it was great. I wouldn't hesitate.
  13. Parent was correct but, as you indicate, it's not acceptable for kids or adults to engage in that - or other - disruptive behavior (e.g. drunken, rude behavior, etc.).
  14. Nah - it's like calling someone the "R" word. It's just not acceptable anymore.
  15. After final? No - you can get 50% to 75% back depending upon when you cancel. If you have cancel for any reason insurance, then you may recoup most of the loss.
  16. Cabin should be cleaned and last pax's stuff shouldn't be there. I think that's a reasonable expectation. Deep cleaned? Don't exactly know what that entails but they're doing lots of cabins in a very short time. As such, I don't think cabins are "deep cleaned" unless someone had an ummmm accident of some sort on the prior cruise. I always bring my own wipes, Clorox spray, etc. It may not do much but I feel better after I've cleaned the door handles, etc. (I do this every day after the room steward has cleaned).
  17. Never ever flush disposable wipe as they will kill your toilet. I, once, flushed a few Kleenexes and had to call maintenance to "flush" them out, etc.
  18. This is so unacceptable. When someone tells you 48 hours, the response must be within that time frame or a short call, etc. why they're still investigating. Have you emailed customerrelations@princesscruises.com? I've had a couple of issues and they always respond/resolve fairly promptly.
  19. It's always been per person. I just give extra if he/she is especially wonderful.
  20. My daughter and I have done several Thanksgiving cruises. Always lots of kids (no problem at all) and pretty full ships. We've thoroughly enjoyed each one (all went to Caribbean).
  21. Nah - that's a pejorative term and really shouldn't be used to describe someone. You should say the person didn't seem to understand, etc. but to label someone as a "flunky" just isn't acceptable anymore. Sorry - it just isn't.
  22. I have a feeling I'm going to have a very strange dream about that Kraken drink holder thingy tonight!
