  1. You haven't given us the full story. We have no idea what constituted your original booking. Why don't you show us the NCL invoice for your original booking? This doesn't pass the smell test at this point. Here's an example. It took thirty seconds to clip and post:
  2. If you originally booked in Sept/Oct 2023, $800 would be the correct upgrade price according to CruisePlum. $879 balcony then, $1279 club balcony a day or two ago.
  3. It's not just you. If the OP would share the ship and sailing date, we could check CruisePlum to see what is really going on with pricing. I doubt that is going to happen.
  4. No always. I independently priced the Skagway train, and the difference was couch change.
  5. That's how I'm reading it as well. I'm sure somebody else will attempt this in the next day or two and hopefully report back. I'm about one more price drop from doing this myself.
  6. Has anybody else experienced this? If so, I'm surprised we haven't seen other reports.
  7. What a refreshing (and rare) example of actual common sense overlapping government!😎
  8. No. I did a Shroex for ~$250 because DD wanted to see an Oyster farm. I'm a GOOD DF.
  9. 10/12/24 - 10/26/24 B2B. Book it!!!😎
  10. Yikes. Kind of scary when a single excursion exceeds the base fare of the cheapest cruise in the book.
  11. I've only sprung for an aft balcony once, and it was on the Joy so pretty much the same as the Encore. I really liked it, especially having actual lounge chairs instead of those things on most regular balconies. I'll do it again if the price is right, which it generally isn't.
  12. Ain't no humor better than classic humor. Three Stooges anybody? (I'm guessing you missed my May West classic in the "sneaking food out of the Local" thread) Yes, that was a Coney Island dog in my pocket...... 🤣
  13. Yeah. That's just it. My very nice 100% cotton sweats from Lands' End are much nicer than those 100% polyester (yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!) slacks that the snobs put on when they're "stepping out." 🤣
  14. Isn't it all one movie? 🤣 (I could have sworn that I already posted this. Either heavy mod or Scotch, hard to say).
  15. Actually, at 64, she may be more oogle-worthy than four (or more) of six. 🤣 Did I mention (again) how much I hated Six?🙊
  16. Sweat pants are ok too. I think PJ pants would work as well, but I've yet to try that.
  17. I googled it. She's 64 now. 🤣 We may need less oogling and more googling. 🤣
  18. Well, I have been known to request some J.S. Bach from the very best piano players. I've never been denied. They know good music much better than the vast majority of 🤡's on a cruise ship.
  19. I believe that we can blame the lawyers for that. It was never an expression of his creative genius. Perhaps more his fierce independence and, in the spirit of Sinatra, a desire to do it "my way."
  20. I tell DW and DD that I want to eat at Teppanyaki. It's pretty consistent and I always enjoy the show. Beyond that, I let them decide. The others are so hit or miss that it then becomes their fault. 🤣 I guess I should add that my one trip to Q was so bad that we'll likely never swing that way again. La Cucina has also consistently disappointed us.
  21. That's crazy. I've had constant recommendations for the Cagney's ribeye and they're all over the map. My last one was a chewy mess as you described. That said, when I'm not really interested in any of the rotating items on the MDR menu, I will on rare occasion order the NY Strip. I've never had a good one. Probably try that every couple of years just to roll the dice.
