  1. Me neither. I do understand that there are some who love to spend their time on the ship looking for things to complain about. Some folks have strange hobbies.
  2. That doesn't really sound like "generous." Sounds more like accounting.
  3. Just a point of clarification. Several 12 year old scotches are covered by the basic drink package.
  4. A year or two back, about this time of year, some double bonus point itineraries were offered. I had two sailings booked that should qualify. I called and asked them to add it to them. They said "sure, done," but the invoices they sent failed to reflect the bonus point offer. These two bookings were a B2B where I could cancel and rebook the second leg but the first leg had reverted to "guarantee," and I wanted to be able to book the same rooms. I did a full cancel on the second leg (with deposit refund) and immediately rebooked it into the same room (pricing had not changed). The invoice showed the promo. I ultimately sailed and, with no surprise, earned the bonus points on the second leg but not on the first. That's one recent data point. Take it for what it is worth.
  5. Bingo. Tell you what brother. Next time we're on a cruise together, let's grab a few drinks and have seats within earshot of the customer service desk. We'll turn it into a drinking game on a slow sea day afternoon. I'll just turn my hearing aids up to high.🤣 disclaimer: I don't own hearing aids and would never actually attempt this.🐀
  6. Why? Just find out which bar opens first and the rest will work itself out. I've never fully understood the concept of "organized drinking." Sounds like the ultimate oxy-moron. 🤣🐀
  7. This. I pay more for everything, everywhere and service certainly hasn't improved across the board. Many service industry entities are struggling just to hire staff and have them show up.
  8. Of course. Just check my posting history. It's publicly available. That said, I've probably not said much good about their IT functions.
  9. Apparently you've never sailed out of the port of Miami?
  10. Thank you for posting this. We get wrapped around the axle on this far too often. 🤣
  11. Which is another realm. After I finally decided to fully force NCL and airline profiles to match my passport (i.e. with full middle name), I discovered that some credit cards only allow middle initial. Oh well..... We actually had reports here on the forum of on-line accounts not working because the credit cards on file didn't have middle name designations that matched NCL's system. I think they've fixed that since we haven't seen any reports for quite a while. Likely some software enhancement that somebody didn't really think through. That's NCL for ya.
  12. Leave them at home and enjoy your cruise. Solved! 😎
  13. An NCL agent once asked me if I wanted to add them when I was on the phone. It has shown up consistently on all documents since that time.
  14. I've actually seen that this has caused problems when a system of some sort "demands" a middle name.
  15. I don't think it is needed, but why not just add it? One phone call will do it.
  16. Yeah, but it's NOTHING like the Encore's!!!🤡 disclaimer: that was a joke directed squarely at the cruisers who toss their 🍪🍪 when the see the Encore's masterpiece.
  17. I strongly believe that the short answer is "corporate." They WILL play only the approved soundtrack that is designed to appeal to some made-up demographic that doesn't really exist in the real cruise ship world. The "agenda" has been painfully obvious to me at times, particularly in the early days of the restart.
  18. I've walked down this road. Been told twice that "the points are in the mail, you don't need to cancel rebook." Lesson learned: unless and until you have an updated invoice displaying the double points promo, it ain't true.
  19. What do your eDocs say?
  20. I doubt there is any risk if they are applied to a future booking soon after purchase. How long do you folks plan to hold them? If it's several years, why buy them now?
  21. I'm positive that I used my Platinum voucher at Teppanyaki in April because I clearly remember having to have DW wait at the entrance while "somebody" went back to the cabin to get the voucher he forgot.
