  1. Check out Joseph tickling them bones!
  2. Do NOT get me started....again. 🤣 Go on, take the money and run!
  3. I do like me some great Johnny Cash. When appropriate, I always ask for Folsom Prison. I mean, it starts with a train.....😎
  4. Okay, full disclosure, @ChiefMateJRKdoes like some good doo-wop. (no, that's not NCL's big announcement 🤣)
  5. Just stick with the Chief. I aggressively find the good performers and "encourage" them to play good stuff. The good ones? (i.e. Louis Rizon) They're already way ahead of me and I just need to relax and sing along. 😎
  6. Doo-wop?? What?! Who brought that up?? Did I miss that? Is this some type of Gen X crazy?
  7. Yeah. They've replaced the daily "watch the security video" email with a daily "important news flash - we no longer exchange currency" email. I never gave a hoot about either.
  8. Is that when you leverage to take advantage of a near term increase in the stock price?
  9. Of course not. The bartenders pour what you ask them to. Ask for a double, and you get a double. Except for my now good friend on my cruse last April who told me he didn't do doubles. Only triples (which he did). I don't think it had anything to do with saving money on food. Just having fun. @graphicguyis my witness. 😎 I think it was later Harvey who had just made an ice run and was muleling one of those big buckets of ice. About the same time, a passenger asked my barkeep for a drink with a lot of ice. He mentioned it to Harvey, who promptly hoisted that five gallon bucket of ice up onto the bar. 🤣 A good time was had by all (actually, the unsuspecting passenger may not have had as much fun as the rest of us).
  10. LOL. Not Syds, and not Metallica, but I was on an Encore sailing when Raul Rojas (outstanding!) did a six song Pink Floyd tribute in the Cavern Club! 😎 It was great! I want to party with those dudes again some cruise. Raul actually invited DD to play some guitar on stage during the final set. That's a great story, but best told in another time in another place....🐀
  11. If you have under 35's who can't do that, you have failed as a parent!! (jk) Just play them "nothing else matters" once and they'll know their favorite Metallica song forever. I say it too often, but you REALLY can't touch this.😎
  12. I believe that I've shared more than once here that I ask the truly talented piano players to play some J.S. Bach. That really good pianist on the Bliss in April, she said after playing my request that it will be really hard to top that. I think @graphicguywill remember her. She was very talented and well educated. I think she commented that Bach is really where it all began. I don't know nothin' about that, but I'm certainly not going to argue. IIRC, Bach was among the most "mathematical" of the great composers, and great music is that strange world where both sides of the brain get involved.
  13. I actually like the good stuff from the forties and fifties. Wish we would hear more. Why not 1930?
  14. Not really. Good music will always remain the good music while crap comes and goes. I "grew up" in the seventies and eighties, but the good stuff from the fifties and sixties will never die. Are you suggesting that people will be asking for Taylor instead of Elvis?!🤣 That's just crazy talk. We have talented entertainers on the ships playing music hits from before they were born. Good musicians gravitate towards the good music. Dates don't matter. Louis Rizon on the Pearl last month played an Animal's classic from the early sixties. I'm guessing Louis was born in the eighties or nineties. He also shocked me with that Looking Glass classic "Brandy." W T F? 😍
  15. True story. When I turned 19 I was legal to buy alcohol. Several months later, my state changed their laws and I was then not legal for another year plus. I really didn't care because I was fully focused on earning my STEM degree, and the booze could (and did) wait. Now? Yes, I will have a cocktail now and then. 🍻
  16. Like the guy who asked if he could bring his own grill to cook out on his balcony? 🤣 That one was actually funny.
  17. I've applied two to existing reservations over a dozen times. But, as @julig22states, they've outsourced (kind of) and revised the process, so we're looking for a current report of success under the new "rules."
  18. How else would you explain that recurring morning headache?🤣
  19. Yes. Please try this and let us know what happens.
