  1. What if I use VPN on my devices? (I do when accessing important websites)
  2. Sounds like you just cut your work in half! Good job!
  3. It's midnight three days from the booking on NCL.com, so minimum of 72 hours.
  4. I book the MDR at 5:30 and am highly confident that I've never created a mess. Have you been to the MDR at 5:30? Generally a ghost town.
  5. Yikes!! I saw some other youtube of rouge waves hitting CA. Might make for a "fun" sail away?
  6. We really liked Lotus Garden for dinner. Went there three or four times a few weeks back.
  7. I think it is a new policy. I see the same thing on my upcoming Spirit cruise. Both MDRs allow reservations only for 6 or 8 and the times you listed. It makes sense to me. Large parties like that warrant a bit more planning for both the MDR and the passengers. Groups of 2 to 4, not so much. Actually, it's all my fault. On my last cruise, I booked the MDR for four people every night at 5:30 as a backup in case we changed SD plans or just had nothing booked. I "may" have forgotten to cancel a few of those that we didn't use. IOW, I was part of the problem, not part of the solution.🚽
  8. On my last sailing, the salad bar had a lot of nice stuff, but no iceberg lettuce. Only that leafy stuff that tastes like crap (I think it's supposed to be more healthy or some such nonsense). I made better salads at the buffet. A lot of the restaurants also have either cobb salad or iceberg wedge, both of which I really like.
  9. I agree. That said, I just entered my signature, scanned it as a photo and inserted it into a Word document with a text box overlay. For every new booking, I just need to change the reservation number/ship/date and print to PDF. I can (and have) spit out a half dozen of those in a matter of minutes.😎
  10. Yep, they are sometimes run flats, but not always. In this case, it sounds like they weren't. Thank God @HBCcruiser's DD made it safe and sound. I'm sure the car will be well cared for in Palm Springs and ready to go when they get back. One thing I like about manufacturer roadside service is that they take the vehicle to the nearest dealer, not Joe's garage down the street.
  11. Why did you have to fill out two forms? I have a 16 day in the future, and a single form got both DW and I $125 OBC each.
  12. I've found the specialty restaurants on NCL to be a crap shoot. No idea if I'll get a good meal or not. Ironically, Teppanyaki has become a priority for me now provided I don't order the now-crappy steak. The shrimp is usually good, with scallops or chicken as the second. I thought I had it figured out at Cagney's (ask the waiter which steak is good right now), but that failed me on my last cruise. The Ribeye had some good flavor, but was generally a chewy mess. I've come to the conclusion that most NCL specialty dining is highly overrated, so just roll the dice and take what I get. I recently tried Maderno on the Pearl, and the most memorable thing was the garlic cloves from the salad bar. Yes, I'm serious.
  13. Yep. Best wishes to you and DD. It literally made my head explode when I heard that people were now buying cars without spare tires because "nobody ever gets a flat." A lot of us have lived long enough to know how absurd that is. Her mission, should she decide to accept it, is to now go onto the internet and widely report that spare tires are a REALLY good idea! She'll likely go down in flames....
  14. Wait a tick. That ain't the interstate 8 route. She's on the I10 route. Your mention of Palm Springs should have been my first clue.🤣
  15. Yeah. My 4Runner has a real, full size tire tucked up under the back. Coincidentally, I did actually have a flat several years ago between San Diego and Yuma. I changed it myself. Probably the last real "work" I've done. Drove to Yuma and had it fixed under warranty by the Toyota dealer while we went for lunch. DD reported that she now knew how to change a flat. 😎 I guess that's the "silver lining."
  16. Did somebody say that they won't give you a coffee maker in the room?
  17. Shareholder Benefits :: Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) (nclhltd.com) If you still have time to edit, you may wish to change the thread title to Stock owner benefits, or something more descriptive. Stock options are something entirely different.
  18. I think you meant to say "try" to blow them to smithereens with shotguns. Many of us would give it a "shot" but likely fail to hit the target (yes, even with a shotgun). We would likely blame the beverage package. Alcohol and firearms, what a winning team.😬
  19. It would be nice if somebody who has done this, with a CruiseFirst applied, could educate us.
  20. Since we're overnighting on Kauai, we'll likely take the NCL Shorex to Waimea canyon the next morning. We don't leave until 2:00 PM on the second day, and NCL currently has the canyon tour available to book. We did that one 16 years ago and it was great.
  21. I can appreciate that. We'll be visiting HI on our next cruise and overnighting on Kaui. Our plan is to Uber the 17 miles from cruise port to Eleele to catch a 5 hour sunset boat tour of the Na Pali coast line. Includes food and drinks for around $200 a person.
  22. Do you mean when they removed the outstanding Na Pali Coast sail by to allow me more time to shop on Kaui? (I think they were also saving the environment - again - somehow with that one)
  23. I don't understand the Haven CNs at all. Why would I pay $500 for $100 "free" OBC when I could pay that same $500 for 2 regular CNs and receive $250 OBC? The Haven CN costs me $400 while the 2 regulars cost me $250. I can still apply both to my Haven booking during the next double up promo, which happens about once a month these days.
