  1. I know that some restaurants do. Back at Megacorp, some genius in HR decided that handing out gift cards from time to time would improve moral. Each Director's secretary got a stack at the beginning of the year. Communication happened like it always did. They sat around forever because the bosses were too busy keeping the ship afloat to mess with requesting gift cards (they/we had to write something up saying "the Chief saved the company last month, give him a free dinner at Olive Garden.") So, I did take the family to Olive Garden shortly after receiving the card and was informed that my $50 card was worth about a buck ninety-five. Improved moral indeed!! 💩
  2. 😎 Choose your path wisely my friend. It's right there before you.
  3. Thanks friend. You may be on the list. 🐀
  4. Actually, it was!!* I missed the "after a year fine print." Apparently, so did the other poster. 🤣 IOW: the Chief screwed up!! It's okay. I'll have another Scotch and it will just fade into a lifetime of screwups. That said, I'm still alive and kicking!! People who screw up and can laugh it off are generally happier than the "others". 😎 *Do I need to integrate x squared or something trivial like that to prove it?
  5. How is a reservation at a free restaurant stressful? It takes less than 30 seconds to make the reservation and if you don't make it to the restaurant in the allotted time, nobody cares.
  6. Sailaway and guarantee are not the same thing.
  7. Yeah, this happened to me the one time I used NCL air. It was a HI cruise and they put me on a flight that left Honolulu about 9 pm. After the long flight and connection, the sun was coming up as the taxi pulled into my driveway.
  8. Does the time matter when you are in the middle of the Ocean?
  9. A refund for a service paid for but not provided is not "compensation" for your inconvenience.
  10. I don't believe that anybody on a fantastic NCL cruise is "out of luck." They're either having a tremendous amount of fun or complaining. It is largely (entirely) up to the individual.
  11. No, it's the same thing. I can't ever remember being "compensated" by an airline for issues (allegedly) beyond their control. I actually think the cruise lines are more noble than the airlines in this area. How has an airline compensated you for your grief?
  12. Have you ever booked an airline ticket that had delays, missed connections, cancelled connecting flights, mechanical problems, etc? I've had all of those, and never "got what I thought I (or my company) were buying." It's just the world that we live in. What do I need to "beware" of?
  13. Yeah, why support any business that only does things to make (more) money?
  14. I thought TSA regulations limited this to four hours now. Was I mistaken?
  15. It's like $1600 we're talking about here. Just buy the freakin' stock and get the credit on every future cruise. You folks are high end vacationers and you're quibbling about peanuts in the stock market. There are some pieces missing from this puzzle. 🤣
  16. There ain't no accounting ledger that has THAT many decimals points.... 🤣
  17. I pay attention because it amuses me.😎
  18. Are nickels and dimes even worth anything anymore?🤣
  19. To be honest, I've lost the bubble on this exchange. That said, NCL's website has been what it is for a long time. The fact that there is room for improvement is painfully obvious. Why would we need to repost that?
  20. Yes, by a majority of the vote. That said, this would have to apply to non-presidential election examples, because of the whole electoral college issue.
