  1. I would be more concerned about being in the Bermuda triangle. I've watched thousands of hours of TV factual documentaries on that place. Now THAT is something to be afraid of. Like the song goes, "leave without a trace." (good song by the way!) Disclaimer: I just remembered that I'll be sailing in the Bermuda triangle with @ggTexasGal in a few weeks. Wish us well!! 😬💀☠️🫥👻👽
  2. Why? It is used and useful right now.
  3. I do the opposite. I don't sign up or say that I'll attend. Then, if I feel like going when the time comes, I show up. If it was cancelled due to lack of interest, so what? I've never heard any complaints about too many people showing up.
  4. Why do you think that roll call participation is a measure of overall health/activity of an internet discussion forum?
  5. She lacks an observation lounge, but is otherwise very similar to other smaller NCL ships.
  6. I track them and there really isn't much of a pattern. Sometimes, the Pride of America sailings are available months before anything else, likely because the itinerary never changes. Right now, the Aqua can be booked for the beginning of 2026, but most other ships cut off in mid to late 2025.
  7. Yeah. If anybody wants intelligent dialogue on stock prices, a cruise internet forum is likely not the right place to have it. That's certainly been my experience! 🤣
  8. I've been doing my part. Aqua bookings are now available for Spring 2026.😎
  9. Is this true? Has anybody been charged $25 because they lost an NCL towel?
  10. On my next cruise, when DW and I again buy 16 CNs, I need to remember to ask them for any added perks. I know that if I book a cruise at that point, they will often provide a cabin upgrade within the chosen category. I book my cruises when I'm not enjoying my holiday, so that may not be an option. We'll see.
  11. LOL. Yeah, I guess if I was about to sell it would mean something.😎
  12. You understand it perfectly. I really don't understand why others are debating this.
  13. NCLH is up over 8% today!! What does that mean? Absolutely NOTHING.😏
  14. We bought 16 CNs on our July cruise (8 by me, 8 by DW). They were all applied to future cruises during double up offers. We'll likely buy 16 more on our next cruise. For frequent cruisers, the money is not really tied up. I spend $125 now and apply it to a cruise in 12 months. That's a 100% ROI. You won't get than anywhere else, even during the market's best years.
  15. Now I'm totally confused. I've been a life long railfan and am now a cruise enthusiast. I can't believe that anybody would love one and not love the other. It's like the same thing only different.
  16. I'm sure some folks love that stuff. I'm a post-downsize minimalist, so it just sounds like more crap that I'll need to convince myself and DW to send to the landfill. That said, what were these "fun events?"
  17. IIRC, these 10% off coupons are applied only to the base fare. The remainder of the costs (tax and port fees, bev and dining service charges, etc.) remain unchanged. I book inside in most cases, and this one would save both me and DW $59.90 each, so not a meaningful savings. If somebody books much more expensive cabins, than obviously the savings might become more compelling.
