  1. Absolutely! I expect a totally clean cabin when I arrive and I have had one 100% of my cruises. The question becomes, what to do when that rare glitch occurs? Have your room steward fix it or cry about it on the internet, social media, to people on the ship, to everybody in your family, to the poor guy who is giving you a ride to the airport, etc. The hyperbole continues to astound. We've gone from a stray daily, to soap scum, to hair in the sink, to "other people's pubes." That's the internet for ya!
  2. Right back at yah! In many, many cruises I've never experienced the type of crisis that you and others are so nervous about. Y'all really need to just have a drink, relax and enjoy your cruise. 😎 If beating up on your hard working Steward, or having his/her boss beat up on them over such minutea, is your thing, then your priorities are WAY out of wack. totes? I don't understand that one....
  3. Good luck with that! You'll likely spend the rest of your cruising days being miserable when human beings fail to match your expectations.
  4. Yep. I was referring to folks booked directly with NCL.
  5. Yep. Pretty much sums up what some people seem to want to take away from a fantastic, fun, entitled? vacation. God help us all.
  6. What are you suggesting are "my standards?" Really. Please tell me. I did share the following that may constitute "standards." Thank God that I have people here on the internet who can help me understand how much those standards suck. I really need to learn to have less fun and complain more. Then I'll fit in much better and apparently be a "better person."
  7. Well, not everybody gets and email and not everybody gets the screen. But everybody can go to the third party website and make a bid.
  8. I would like to tell you but that would be against the rules.
  9. That was the "problem." There had been no price changes so it wasn't a reprice situation. The NCL agents were consistently of the opinion that it would automatically be added, so they weren't willing to try a rebook at the same price. It was ultimately easier for me to just do that myself. The deposit refunds hit my credit card before the new deposits, so nothing of concern in that area. I believe that I had four cruises affected, and it was only the one that had reverted to "guarantee" room selection that I was unable to add the extra point promo to. I was a non-issue. It didn't delay my "promotion" from Platinum to Sapphire and, as most of us know, beyond that the points don't matter much since the diamond and ambassador perks are one time only things.
  10. So you have a choice. Don't cruise or choose how to deal with it. The choices appear to be a) get all up in a huff, scold whoever will listen and then keep complaining about it after the cruise on the internet of b) mention it to the Steward and then forget about it and enjoy your holiday. Some might argue that "maybe your 'bar' is set too high?"🤣
  11. Another poster who missed the point entirely. I "survived" four years of college dorm life. I had much more important things on my mind than when the last time was that the bathroom was cleaned. When I board a cruise ship, it's exactly the same. I am there to treasure time with my family, have as much fun as humanly possible, and just thank God for the fact that I'm alive and able to enjoy such an experience. I simply don't have the time/interest/mental energy to get all wrapped around a Q-tip under the sink in my bathroom. If that's how you want to spend your time on holiday, knock yourself out! Low bar indeed!
  12. You missed the point entirely. If you can "survive" years of that during college, then you shouldn't be "grossed out" by a spot of dirt in a sink or shower on a cruise ship. Annoyed? Sure, if that's how you want to spend your holiday. Most of us don't. Some of us (apparently a small number) would either let it go or politely ask our hard-working Steward to take care of it when they had a chance. The rest? "Waaah, Waaah, NCL and their staff are abusing me. I want a refund. I want apologies! I want sympathy on the internet!!!" (yeah, that last one is just plain silly🤣).
  13. Spend more time eating/drinking and less time in the gym??😁
  14. I've dealt with this. There was a time when they added LATDBLX promo to all new 2023 bookings. I had several already booked. I called and was assured that it would be automatically added to all my cruises and I wouldn't have to do anything. Did I believe it? Of course not. I just rebooked/cancelled all but one, and received new invoices indicating LATDBLX. There was one that I couldn't do this because the rooms had reverted to "guarantee" vs. letting me select a cabin. I've already sailed two of the affected cruises? Guess what? The one I rebooked/cancelled earned the extra point. The other? Of course not. When it comes to these bonus point offers, don't believe anything that a) an NCL agent or TA tells you or b) what other posters claim (most just believe the NCL agents and never report back).
  15. LOL. I used to shun Uber/Lyft because they were new and I don't readily embrace new things. Anyhow, I finally decided to "force" myself to try them and, just like Mikey and the cereal, I liked it!!!
  16. Nah. Give them a severe talkin' to. I worked for 65 years and I never missed a single thing. I expect no less from anybody else performing any kind of job there is. (jk of course, and since we've spent time in person you've likely surmised that I'm actually a bit of a slacker and it likely manifested itself throughout my "career." 🤣🐀 Us less than perfect people find it easier to be "forgiving" of other hard working people.)
  17. Do you own significantly more than the 100 shares required for Shareholder OBC?
  18. A certain travel site is showing 192 Balcony cabins available in BA, BB and BC. That likely explains the low bid requirement. 😎
  19. This is interesting because there is an old saying "runs like a German railroad." Historically, German railways were renowned for always being on schedule. Times change....
  20. I just sailed in a Bliss inside without the pullmans. That was acceptable. If it had pullmans, I would likely have asked the Steward to separate the two lower beds so that I had an aisle twice as large down the middle. That's my fall back. We prefer deck 15, but wound up booking on 14 in April so as to enable us to have the same room B2B.
  21. They removed something from the ship that belonged to another passenger. 'nuff said.
  22. I know that they rotate from time to time, but do they really change every cruise? I wasn't asking about the theater specifically; more the various lounges/bars.
