  1. That sounds like a decent deal. That said, it's likely above what I will pay to go from inside to balcony. I've done so twice, but it didn't cost that much. Enjoy your cruise! Bliss is a great ship.
  2. I was asking about the difference in prices when you initially booked the Spirit. Not the difference between the Spirit then and the Jewel now. When did you initially book the Spirit? Comparing the Spirit price then to a Jewel booking now might not be a valid comparison. A quick glance at Jewel July 2024 sailings suggests that most have not gone up at all, and only a few have (but less than your posting). IOW, it's likely that the Jewel was more expensive all along, likely for valid reasons.
  3. Thanks. Likely just more NCL IT crazy. I think I was also able to make multiple MDR bookings on the Bliss in April. Like you, I generally don't reserve MDR, but it takes zero effort and at least gives us a placeholder if we like what the MDR is serving that night and want to eat at 5:30 to make it to some scheduled entertainment. Sure, we might not wait regardless but it can't hurt.😎
  4. I just compare policies here: Travel Insurance - Compare the Best Quotes & Buy Online (squaremouth.com)
  5. I know that you understand this stuff better than anybody Keith. That said, I recently booked the Sun main dining room for six nights of an upcoming 10 day cruise. The system didn't care. We will cancel some of them once we plan our schedule a bit more.
  6. 🤣 Yeah, I'm not much of a shopper and likely just proved it!
  7. DD had some non-refundable OBC on a recent cruise and used it to purchase some quality Ray-Ban sunglasses. I don't believe that those are allowed to be sold at a discount anywhere, so you pay the same on the ship as you do at any store. Plus, some Latitudes levels receive a percentage off at on board shops, so you can actually wind up buying them cheaper than you could get them anywhere else. That proved to be a great way to spend OBC. Your photo makes it look like you appreciate a nice pair of shades. 😎
  8. Which ship is this that allows reservations at Taste?
  9. Don't most travel insurance policies cover medical?
  10. Why did you do this? It sounds like you would have been just fine for the second leg.
  11. What was the difference in pricing between the two itineraries when you originally booked the Spirit?
  12. I used to think Platinum was premium. Then I reached Sapphire, and decided that Platinum was pond scum (jk). I think it is all very silly. All I care about is the free laundry, Shorex discounts and added specialty dining. Those equate to $$$ in my pocket.😎
  13. Yep. Free money is often worth about what you pay for it. Do you take shore excursions?
  14. Yikes. I gave up about halfway through. I book steerage, pack ear plugs and fully utilize the beverage package. I always sleep like a baby and wake up READY TO GO.😎
  15. Thanks. Wow. Would you do the same again or just self-isolate and try your best to enjoy your cruise? That security procession, complete with fogging, borders on insulting.
  16. Any time I am in a cabin with a couch, I check beneath the cushions for lost change. I take what I find to guest services and have them add it to my on board account. That usually covers any taxes on drinks while in port. 😎 (Obviously joking, but making a point. In port drink taxes are little more than "couch change.")
  17. Yes, similar but smaller. I really didn't take the class, and as you suggest I probably would fail the test. I just know that if it's near midnight on the Sky, I can get a decent burger, sandwich, etc. at the Sports Bar. I know this mainly from first hand experience this year.
