  1. Glad to hear you have some stability. Back at MegaCorp, when I was about two years from retirement, I told my deputy that "I know exactly where I'll be two years from now but I haven't a clue where I'll be one year from now." That proved to be absolutely true as I wound up in the strangest of places. This too shall pass. 😎
  2. I've sailed Pearl and Sky. O'Sheehans on Jewel class is much better than Local/Sports Bar on Sky. Also, IIRC, the buffet is much bigger and more enjoyable. That said, I would sail either one without hesitation. Our next cruise is on the Sun (which is exactly like the Sky only different🤣).
  3. Yeah, that's kind of my point. People are usually on their best behavior in Church and possibly their worst on holiday.
  4. Well there's your mistake. Try a Bloody Mary next cruise. 😎
  5. "Never trust a man who doesn't drink." Winston Churchill
  6. Yep. I do drink ginger ale on the ship (along with some bourbon) and I sleep great and wake up refreshed. 😎
  7. Like Kramer with the reverse peep hole, I would be okay with that! (as long as they weren't blowing bubbles) 🤣
  8. Don't worry. You're among friends here. We won't tell.
  9. Well, they did run out of Guinness on my Oct 2021 cruise.
  10. After 25 pages. The conclusion? This is a problem for people who drink but it's not a problem for those who don't. Shocking. Like my good friend @Sailing12Away, I drink, and I know things🐀. What do I "know" about this? NCL screwed up royally (yeah...) and they aren't out of the woods yet. Hopefully, for the sake of my fellow drinkers, they get it fixed yesterday.😎
  11. That's likely just human nature. People volunteer for a lot of stuff and then get distracted and never show up. I once accepted a (voluntary) assignment as lead usher at a church. The main part of the job was getting four people to show up (including myself). This was church. I generally ran about a 50% failure rate. One guy always showed up (that was out of a pool of about 8). Same thing, different context. 🤣
  12. Does anybody besides me absolutely love to feel the ship bob around? It's like riding a train. That motion is half the fun. DD has educated me that there are numerous types of motion sickness. The ones that get me are a) disorienting amusement park rides and b) hand held camera work (think Bourne Identity movies). Ships? Trains? Love 'em.😎
  13. I've only sailed the Pearl (twice) but agree with @ggTexasGal that they are a "good nice of ships!"🤣 (just razzing you sister)😎
  14. Larger balcony for the win!!! Ear plugs are always an option.
  15. I recommend the MDR for you folks. We tend to alternate between the buffet and MDR for breakfast. That said, I do enjoy the Pastry Queens.😎
  16. This is exactly what I would expect. The vast majority of NCL cruisers embrace the free style concepts, including dining only with your own party.
  17. YES!! I remember him doing that fantastic Leonard Cohen classic. 😀🐀😎
  18. We did Bliss B2B last month and I'm ready to do it again... and again... and again.😎
  19. If they don't already know all about this, then they are idiots and should be fired.
