  1. You can also just log in as him. That provides a small amount of protection against inadvertent failure to logout.
  2. I've said it before @ggTexasGal, and I'll say it again. You really do belong in the pack. 😎
  3. Absolutely. It's a scientific fact that the first thing 73% of NCL cruisers do when they get on a ship is have that first drink. Do you really think an uprising is avoidable? 🤣
  4. Well, mine are Guinness and Black Label, but I doubt that's what you're looking for.
  5. This may be the most productive NCL thread in weeks. If anybody else does a phone call or chat, it wouldn't hurt to specifically mention cruise critic. Based upon the number of officers that showed up to our recent CC meet and greet, it is clear that NCL understands the value of a good reputation on cruise critic.
  6. I'm guessing that I'm not alone here among people who understand the reference to a "broken record?" 😜
  7. I believe that some (myself included) intended that to be "a hazard that needs to be communicated." When an excursion is marketed as activity level 1, it shouldn't include such "hazards." There are many fine people on cruises that are physically impaired/out of shape/old/etc. Level 1 should be compatible with this crowd. Beaches with unexpected rocks that increase the chances of falls/injuries/etc. should be communicated accordingly. I really don't understand why so many are beating up the OP over this.
  8. I know nothing. That said, I think those who are suggesting that NCL may have been caught is some bureaucratic trap are likely onto something. Somebody failed to submit a form on time. Some Government agency failed to grant timely response/approval. Some strange tax restraint exists regarding where the items being "sold" were purchased. Who knows? We'll likely have better insight after a few weeks of this have passed. Either other lines will follow suit or NCL will allow the booze to flow.
  9. Major shows will be listed on NCL.com. Smaller entertainment venues are generally unknown until the dailies come out. I try to find a thread on CC where somebody is posting the dailies for the ship I'm sailing starting a few months prior to my sail date. If you have a favorite entertainer, they may have a fbook account or website where they post their upcoming contracts. I'm always on the lookout for my growing list of favorites who now include (in no particular order): Alexa Guns and Rojas (Raul Rojas) Siglo Ryan North Oana Heartbreakers Wild Spirits NCL corporate eyes: PLEASE note the above! I also have some non-favorites that I will avoid if possible.
  10. I would say that MDR dinners are my least favorite meals on NCL ships. We've made it a habit to check the menu earlier in the day (Taste/Savor/? can provide a sample dinner menu at lunch time) and make our plans accordingly. They used to post the dinner menu at the MDR earlier in the day, but that wasn't the case on the Bliss a couple of weeks ago. We normally eat Breakfast and Lunch, so by dinner time aren't really too concerned about more food. If we have a specialty dinner planned, we may just eat a light lunch (soup/salad) or four items in Food Republic between two of us on a sea day.
  11. Does it really work this way? Seriously. We just turned Sapphire and I hope this is true. I would likely enjoy time with a ship's officer. What I wouldn't sign up for is hearing my fellow passengers interact with said officers. Let's just leave it at that.
  12. Yeah, that would be nice. I love the free laundry and also benefit significantly from the discounts on Shorex. I wish I could just cancel the Strawberries and I have zero interest in BTS tours, dinners with royalty and most of the other stuff.
  13. How do you know this? That percentage is fantastically out of line with all other historical reports I've seen.
  14. Zandy told me that Belvedere was being phased out. (Zandy took good care of @graphicguy and me on the Bliss)
  15. Yep. That why it is so nice that we can get coaching here on Cruise Critic before our cruises. I just drop off my form and they say thanks. Takes less than five minutes. CN really is a great value for those of us who sail NCL a lot. Just like the shareholder benefit. I was a bit late to the game on both but, as the saying goes, better late than never.😎
  16. So I'm guessing you are Sapphire? 🤣 (jk) - We just turned Sapphire and will continue to skip the tours. That said, I will happily accept the additional 5% off on Shorex. That saves somewhere between $4 and $6 for every $100 we spend on Shorex! 😎
  17. That's a feature, not a glitch. When you're on the Epic, you can't see what she looks like but you can admire the attractive ship next door. It's those poor suckers that have to look at the b$tt ugly Epic. 😎 It's like back when I owned a house. I didn't have much landscaping to block the very nice landscaping that my neighbors paid for and maintained. Worked for me!
  18. I've sailed her twice. My only complaint is that (like many other ships) she lacks an Observation Lounge. The bathroom thing is just whining. Many folks like to be able to use the toilet while someone else is in the shower. Otherwise, she's a fine ship. Nice forward facing buffet. Large pool deck with Spice H2O at the rear. Not a single reason not to have a fantastic time. 😎
