  1. You cannot just upgrade only the drinks package. You would have to upgrade everything for $25 per day. I would just pay the difference if there are drinks you want that are over $12.
  2. Princess did not screw you over. No, there is no trouble brewing with Princess. A $100 was not enough compensation for you? I happily accepted this, rebooked a cruise and am looking forward to a substantial FCC.
  3. You do realize this is a pandemic, right? You also realize that the other cruise lines are going through the same thing, right? I think cruising may just not be for you, at least for the next few years. Princess is a very reputable cruise line and I hate to see it insulted through no fault of their own. I had two cruises booked on the Diamond and I am disappointed... However, I just looked at my options and rebooked one and will have a substantial FCC for another cruise.
  4. I just contacted Princess at the above email address, copying Jan Swartz and John Padgett yesterday afternoon. I explained my situation in detail. Everything was fixed this morning! I think some of you may not have valid complaints and the tone of the emails may not have helped either. If you can be polite and detail with specificity your problems, you have a much greater chance to get the results you want. If, like in the above case, a passenger complains like this, he or she is going to get nowhere.
  5. The issues with the Crown Princess were known to everyone for months. You had a chance to cancel and rebook on another ship but you did not take it. I don't see why you would be entitled to a $1,400 refund.
  6. Old news. It's starting in the US on October 5
  7. Patience. Check your account weekly. It's highly unlikely anyone will be reporting here that they received their refunds, especially since most of us have chosen either to rebook or to get FCC's.
  8. But probably a lot of construction...
  9. Google and You Tube are your best friends as to finding patters and menus...
  10. I'm relatively certain no one knows but the higher-ups at Princess.
  11. Obviously, you are new to cruising. Yes, cancellations and changes of itinerary happen all of the time. This unfortunately is unavoidable for several reasons including weather, port permissions, etc., and are not due to Princess. Why in the world would Princess would use anything as an excuse to not go anywhere when all of the arrangements have been made? That makes no sense.
  12. The problem is that a lot of passengers only care about their convenience and self-interests, thus the number of complaints, some of them petty, and some relatively serious. But the main point seems to be staff shortages and thus not so great service, hold times, cancellations, etc. I'm in the same boat so to speak... I've had two cancellations yesterday, cruises I have waited for a long time... I did contact Princess via chat, the first agent was terrible, but on the second try, I did get someone who really worked hard to rebook and issue an FCC. So, kudos to Cindy B.
  13. No, you cannot. You can upgrade up to 3 days before sailing or on the day of embarkation. That's it.
  14. This is why you always should check your statement before disembarking. Lesson learned.
  15. You will be given a selection of items you can order... Anything from pizza to salads and steak! It just depends on what is available on the app, and you will not know until you get there!
  16. You still have a lot of choices of drinks that can be delivered, just not all. I would not book through a Princess Vacation Planner by the way. You're much better off booking with a good travel agent.
  17. I don't think you can order from a specific bar. If you want a specific drink from the Good Spirits Bar, you will have to do it the old fashioned way... Go to the bar...
  18. That is what I am planning on doing! Yes, we are at least on one cruise together!
  19. But if prices increase, there must be more demand. You're never going to see the true number of available cabins so you really can't know. But I am betting demand has increased. Some of the itineraries are unusual. What about the Diamond 's reputation? Because it had a lot of Covid cases? It has undergone a drydock since then.
  20. They have not cancelled this cruise. I should know, I am booked on this one. The Diamond just arrived in Los Angeles to prepare for its debut on September 1. Check again in a couple of days. It may show as unavailable because it is sold out.
