  1. I would strongly suggest paying for a one-way. Water taxis will be plentiful to take you back to the pier.
  2. I hope you realize you can do this on your own! Take a water taxi, they are on your right as you exit the pier, and they will take you to Medano Beach for a few dollars. Plenty of bars and restaurants there!
  3. Not necessarily. I have been given this on a couple of cruises but they were a casino cruise, which entitled me to a discount... Nothing like the free cruises though!
  4. If I were you, I would bring as many bottles onboard as possible. That way, yes, you would have to pay the corkage fee, but you would be assured to have it available to you
  5. Please remember that all cruise lines are going through supply chain issues... Including Celebrity. So, availability of certain wines is uncertain to say the least
  6. All you can do is try, but it's unlikely, don't get your hopes up
  7. No, there are no sales or discounts on these packages, sorry
  8. It may not be financially wise to do this. You may have to cancel your present booking and rebook, lose any amenities that were provided with this promotion, if any, and if the price of cabins has increased, you will need to pay the new fare, which is likely to be a lot more than what you already paid. Good luck.
  9. This is great. It looks like there will still be plenty to drink within the Plus package!
  10. Unfortunately, I think this is going to happen across all of the cruise lines. I know that drink prices are already higher on Celebrity and RC...
  11. And have some of the same issues!
  12. But you cannot add the Plus package after booking, so what he can do is add the drinks package, pre-pay gratuities and pre-pay WiFi separately. I believe that would be much more expensive than just choosing the Plus package at the time of booking, unless he doesn't add the drinks package.
  13. All of the quarantine cabins are balcony cabins. In the event you test positive for Covid, you would be moved to the quarantine area in a balcony cabin. That should make your choice easier!
  14. My exact same reasoning. I am sailing for 12 days on the Diamond in early September. Although those are two cruises, I did get separate cabins on Aloha deck, A725 and A737. It was also quite the deal, with no single supplement. As a solo passenger, I will not be in my cabin often, so the inside will be great. If it were Alaska, it would be a harder choice!
  15. Not sure this is going to be possible.
  16. As a newly solo traveler, I booked two cruises to Mexico departing from San Diego. For the cost of a 4-day in October (Sapphire Princess) that I cancelled, I was able to book two cruises, one 5-day cruise and a 7-day cruise on the Diamond Princess, both for the same cost of the 4-day cruise. Not only were the cruises sharply discounted, but no solo supplement either. Everyone, make sure to check the Princess website! Because of the very low fares, I doubt that TAs will be discounting those anyway. Total cost for the two cruises: $600. Yes, I added the Princess Plus package to both cruises, which brought the cost up, but still a smoking hot deal.
