HI,, I get it, We always look at the "patter". OK first cruise 500 years ago was P and that name. In no order. If your paper folks,, WAY cool. The app is just another tool to utilize. 1. We can order drinks and or food from it. 2. At a glance we can review what is happening, both of us even from different locations. 3. We can book excursions from the pool deck. 4. Check our balance from that same pol deck. 5. Find that bar we always wanted to go to but could not find (toooo drunk 🙂 ). 6. View Itenary. 7 Text your fellow family and friends who are onboard with you. What I am agreeing with is old fashioned paper doc is good to have. Yes we enjoy reading it at night before bed. Paper doc is a nice planning tool. We utilize that APP during the day. FYI,, We take our phones with us 99.99% of the time. Our focus with the phone is for taking pictures of our trip. After we return they are uploaded for our viewing enjoyment. Have a blessed Labour day weekend. Remember why we celebrate.

Larger ships have their place. We have done all shapes and sizes. With family the uber ships have their place. While traveling with friends we do smaller. Think Connie size and smaller. We do enjoy V Ocean size ships. Less than 1k is nice. We get to know the crew as well as the passengers. With that said, we are looking forward to O and an even smaller passenger base. Yes?

OMG, Peace,, You need not have, that is fine. An APP for O does not make it a cruise for teenagers. 🙂

Well, APP is needed. Period. Once you use a good cruise app you will not look back. Yes Baby Boomers we are part of this.

With 3 grandchildren we cannot live without.

Ok, I see what you mean. Maybe I join in? 🙂. FYI: South America, If you're doing a port in Ushuaia , Look up Pria Tours. The Penguins Island tour is a lifetime experience. HAL now charges 20 USD corkage fee just to walk one or two onboard. Our TA is also terrific. Not so sure with discounts without me asking,, so we monitor. Seems most cruise lines are doing the nickel and dime now a days. What about those O things you do when you get onboard? Whats special? Run to eat at? Get a drink at? Speak to? DO x? 🙂. We are booked for 25, yes a long way away. Special trip for us.

Tokyo: It appears Oceania ports at the Harumi Terminal. That is in Tokyo. Most larger cruise ships port in Yokohama. Keep that in mind when looking. Ask,,, Personal Opinion, stay clear of the Shibuya crossing. It is a tourist location not worthy of what Tokyo is. Ok, my opinion. The Temples are a great place to visit. We spent 5 days and just scratched the surface. Yes, We enjoyed the city.

When you ask, they do 6 months

Princess , 6 cruises, 5 times missed there Island. Viking, 3 cruises (52 total days), Missed 1 port due to high seas. NCL 2 cruises, 2 missed opportunities at there island. RCL, 6 cruises, one missed port Celebrity, 4 cruises (62 days), zero missed ports. HAL, 6 cruises, (56 days), one missed port. Is the pattern there? Not sure. My Q is. We have not sailed O yet. Do we run away?

Viking booking payments are 6 months out. We use to ask, now after one cruise it is automatic. Booked one two weeks back so this info is current. We enjoy V. We cannot wait to do O. The O v V is interesting. We are in it for the itineraries , then cost model. We assume O is similar quality to V. Yes?

Being new to Oceania . After reading the above. I can say the following 1. Wine can be brought onto the ship. 6 bottles at a time. Any most ports allow. 2. Wine can be consumed in our cabin, OK to walk around with that glass of wine as long as the original bottle is in the room. Why I would do that is beyond I. 3. The bottle of Gin for those G&T's is also coming onboard, no issue. We can enjoy those G&T's on our balcony. Did I miss something? We have traveled the world, with you name the cruise line. The one for O is NZ to Singapore, a last bucket list item. Only one other has a similar arrangement. That was long ago , well before the C.

Some thoughts, We walked off a ship in Bergen Aug 15. Train to Oslo. Left for USA the 17th. The 20th one of us came down with the C. Was it the Ship? Was it the train? Was it Oslo??? Or the flight home? Or maybe Publix getting milk and bread the day we came home? You're never ever going to know where or when. Will that stop you? Sure some, that's OK. For others no. Will people be stupid , sure. If you have issues with C, physical ones, then consider what to do. C will not go away. Peace all.

The best tip (s) for a great Vikikg Ocean cruise? Ask Customer Service Questions. When in doubt walk to customer service and ask. They are always there. 24 x 7 they say. From Coking classes, to Restaurant questions. They will locate the proper location and or answer you need.

Hey, just off Ocean,,, Yes we did see a couple of wheelchair folks. Yes we did see a couple few walkers (Wheel with seat). No did not see the walker with just 2 wheels and no seat. They assisted the wheelchair person up and down the gangway. They carried up the chair while assisting the person walk up. Does that make sense? If not pm me.
