  1. it will be displayed at the host stand, only way to find out for future nights it to ask at host stand of Test Kitchen.
  2. Also no back bacon, definitely not full English!
  3. Omelettes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns toast are at the diner station (Diner & Dash). Smoked Salmon is at the bagel/salad station (The Daily Mix). Fresh berries are in the bento boxes (Bento Baby) but they also have some fruit (mainly melon) and yoghurts at The Sweet Side. Cereals are self-service opposite the main counters area. You can order with a server and things get bussed to you, but if they are coming from spare counters they will arrive at different times depending how busy each one is. Omelettes are often the longest wait so place that order and then get some other items while waiting for it.
  4. You get a $10 bonus on $100. They added the ability to buy $100 and $200 late last year in addition to the previous $300 block. Its now $10 bonus on $100 $25 bonus on $200 $50 bonus on $300 unless you have loyalty status which gets you $100 or $125 on $300.
  5. If you want to party you can go to the party without wearing PJs, the people who look more out of place are those who don’t look like they want to be at the party at all!
  6. I think the majority of the time if things move around mid-way through the cruise then it is either weather and sea conditions causing a show not being able to be performed or cast illness or injury. I’ve noticed it being very different once on the ship compared to beforehand, but generally when it changed part way through the cruise there was an obvious reason.
  7. If you are more than 2-10 days out then the order shown in the app will move around before and after boarding.
  8. Shops generally close about 10 or 11pm, casino will be at least 2am unless you pull into port weirdly early (unlikely unless on a repositioning cruise).
  9. Yes room service drinks will come out of bar tab.
  10. Well you could get full pours but you’d pay full menu price for the drinks, not the pairing menu price.
  11. The pairings is a specific wine chosen to go with each course, if you want to choose your own wine don’t order the pairings and just choose your own from the menu.
  12. No there isn’t a kettle or coffee maker in the room. You can order room service, no delivery fee if you get a paid-for item (like a latte). Razzle Dazzle offers a breakfast/brunch menu but their bacon is candied style, they do also have eggs and vegetarian sausage patty. My favourite there is the waffle. The Wake also offers a brunch menu but there is no bacon & eggs, they do offer Benedict’s and steak & eggs as well as French toast. The Galley food court has standard breakfast items, burritos, French toast, pancakes, bagels, pastries, cereal and oatmeal. Main tips are to do the check in steps in the app ASAP and get an arrival time booked in, book dinners and brunches in the app at 45days out and fitness classes then shows once onboard
  13. Yeah I don’t think they are quite shot size, just probably about half a normal cocktail; so you get equivalent of three drinks across the 90 minute meal which is about right and feels about right for $40 compared to drinks on the ship.
  14. I think they assumed people waiting late afternoon snack food would go to the Dock, Social Club or Pizza Place, but often I want a panini sandwich when getting back from a port!
  15. would still be a food court or cafeteria rather than a buffet as it’s not self-service. I think the main thing is that the whole set up is they assume 90% will done in the full service restaurants or at a dinner show, so most of the food court counters are only open breakfast and lunch, closing down around 3-4pm. I agree it should have redesigned menus with more dishes at dinner than currently and the existing lunch menu should continue to at least 4pm.
  16. For some shows the audience in the 10pm show can be better than the early 7 or 8pm, particularly the Miss Behave Show (on Valiant and Resilient Lady) which is more entertaining after a drink or two. But for many others like Duel Reality it doesn’t make any difference.
  17. The plastic containers are no more wasteful than the plates, they all get washed and resided, it’s just the containers have lids as they go in self-service areas. Also the grab and go containers are designed so that you can take them back to your room if you wish (used containers get collected by housekeeping for washing and re-use. There are no single use plastics anywhere on the ship. Taco bar serves breakfast burritos 7am to 11am then Tacos 12-3pm. I agree that some of the hours don’t make sense as most of the stations are closed for dinner, but they do show the hours in the app and the printed times guide, then the menu shows the options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s also better than it was a year ago, used to close breakfast at 10.30am with very few options available in that hour and a half until lunch and then the same at 3pm, they used to close the entire sweet counter just when we want afternoon snacks.
  18. You can pick up the paper guide at Sailor Services on deck 5, the Chart Room (big red table) on deck 7, Grounds Club coffee bar on deck 7, Grounds Club coffee bar in the Galley deck 15.
  19. It originally aired on Channel 5 in the UK two years ago. Some of the false drama and reliance on a cliffhanger before the ad break gets old quickly. I don’t think it always shows the line at its best.
  20. In general I think longer cruises do work out a bit cheaper anyway on a per night basis, so in a way it would make sense if they did give a small discount for back to back as usually you would pay less for one eight night compared to two four night anyway.
  21. I really enjoy Test Kitchen menu A with the mushroom pate and the confit egg and peas. With the bread and other sides I find it filling enough once I’ve had all six courses, it’s probably a similar amount of food to what I’d normally eat at home for dinner, I definitely don’t leave Test Kitchen feeling hungry immediately. Yes it’s not the most fine dining tasting menu, but it’s inventive enough and things like sous-vide confit egg yolk are dishes I’d never cook at home! Menu B however wasn’t so good and the main course (especially if you choose the prawn(shrimp) option is too small, so that menu did leave us hungry. They really need to come up with another new menu as good as the original.
  22. Bungee class only holds around six people, if you see it available to book it should be a priority. VHS 80s workout needs to be booked but doesn’t usually sell out too quick, it’s in the Manor so holds 40+ Game On I’m not certain but think it’s the arcade games tournament?
  23. I was going to say exactly this, it is only while the muster drill is going on that it locks you out, before that period you can get booking.
  24. I think it’s just cabin number, name and date of birth. Very similar to logging in to hotel WiFi, it’s linked to your room not a password login.
  25. I think that very much depends on the port and the itinerary, I didn’t see it in the Mediterranean and had taken pool towels I was bringing back.
