  1. Sorry, not drinking water is weird 😂 how else do you avoid the hangover 🤣
  2. Most beers are 12oz cans or 12oz draft. I think Corona is the slim cans, but Heineken was the standard short cans like soda. They have some canned alcoholic seltzer drinks from Ketal One but canned cocktails are screw-top bottle-cans from Crafthouse. https://crafthousecocktails.com/our-cocktails
  3. Call centre staff often don’t know the full picture. VV have taken a lot of Resilient Lady cruises off sale while they work out the Red Sea issue. An update will be provided by the end of the month. “With the very likely continuation of this escalated regional conflict top-of-mind, and in an effort to minimize further disruptions to our passengers’ future vacation plans, Virgin Voyages is now conducting a full review of other geographically similar repositioning voyages and linked sailings. We will provide an update before the end of February on any further changes we will need to make.” from https://www.virginvoyages.com/travel-advisories/stories/resilient-lady-repositioning-update
  4. Can always ask for the bed to be converted to sofa.
  5. That’s badly worded but it could just mean they only have enough stock to go with the items items on the tower, so they have oysters (for the tower) but not to order (on their own).
  6. The only beer on tap at the pool is Heineken and sometimes Strongbow hard cider. They do have cans of others but biggest selection is at the Draught Haus bar. Most beer drinkers at the pool seemed to either have draught Heineken or cans of Corona.
  7. No, it does mix up, some cabins have the bed near the door with the desk near the balcony and some desk by the door and bed by the balcony. Then as you say they are also mirrors so the bathrooms are bath to back. I assume bed location does alternate but I’m not sure what the pattern is.
  8. And there are now options to get $100 and $200 bar tabs with lower bonus amounts.
  9. Just be aware some of the sites uploaded menus two years ago and a few prices have gone up, for example standard Heineken beer is now at least $6 not $5, house/well spirits went from $7 to $8 or more. Also it depends if you really want latte/cappucino or similar or just the free drip coffee, those are $4 a time. Weve usually got through about $50 per person per night in drinks on average, but a lot of that was just Absolut vodka and Sprite or similar at $8, if you want fully mixed cocktails from the menu at $11-15 then you might spend more. Also if you are a day drinker you’ll probably spend more than those who just have drinks with dinner and in the evenings. Do check if you got some promo bar tab from your booking offer (look under add ons in the app or website).
  10. UntitledDanceShowPartyThing is different, but only one section about ten minutes maximum encourages spectators to join in doing the Macarena and Hokey Cokey type group dances. The other 40 minutes or so is watching the very talented dancers (and singer). The opening warm-upnumber is a bit strange but there are plenty of great moments and it always manages to make me cry!
  11. I agree, the OP mentioned not being up for interaction, but the major shows on Scarlet Lady don’t really involve it, Duel Reality is just a fantastic circus show.
  12. Probably yes. Ive not done it but its just the artist, canvas, paints and sparkling wine.
  13. that will be the deep blue one.
  14. Resilient Lady is already in the UK until late September 2024. There is no point them keeping the ship there and then cancelling the repositioning to Barcelona and onward to Athens (which is a sold out cruise). The UK weather isn’t great in November and the VV ships aren’t designed for cooler temperatures.
  15. I would always make a dinner reservation for each night and then change or cancel if needed, better to have the option. For shows the dinner show will fill up quicker as it is smaller capacity so book that. but the main thing to get booking quickly if you see availability for something you want to do is fitness classes, some hold as few as eight people.
  16. They don’t have flavoured water drinks like that only standard sparkling water. There are two carafes in your cabin, as standard these are still filtered water but ask your attendant and they can fill one or both with sparkling. In restaurants you’ll always get offered still or sparkling water.
  17. Scarlet night is almost always the night before the last sea day, I’ve not known them do a cruise without one.
  18. Does anyone know which ship this is on?
  19. That’s a nice addition, even if none of the cocktails are quite to my taste. Bit surprising there are no mocktail or premium non-alcoholic options though.
  20. There has been in the past, we used lock it in last year for both Athens and Barcelona, however the availability seems to be hit and miss.
  21. Assuming the length of the cruise is the same then the schedule will basically be the same, although some things change depending on where port days land on different itineraries. In the Mediterranean where they were always seven night cruises the band even made a joke of “on Thursdays we wear red” because Scarlet Night was always on the same day of the week.
  22. The wrong ship names appear all over the place. I think someone found Valiant Lady in Northern Europe and now Scarlet or Resilient are doing that stop. It’s possible one of the fleet will do that port but at this point don’t take the name as accurate.
  23. Generally speaking I only need to use their app once a day after the first day or so of getting everything booked in. Unless there is a notification of a change, I’d just check in once a day to see if there is anything like a fitness class where a space has opened up from others cancelling. You can pick up a paper guide for show times and then just open the app to book them. I do agree that they probably do need to solve the dining issue when it is busier, but generally Razzle Dazzle and Test Kitchen aren’t busy. They’ve already changed the Razzle menu significantly, maybe that needs another attempt to try and get people in for dinner.
  24. For me there was two credit card charges, but only one bar tab on my account on the ship, so it was very clearly an error on the credit card side, shoreside could refund one card charge and it wouldn’t affect ship accounting as I hadn’t actually received extra credit. If all of them appeared on your add-ons on the ship then it may be much harder to contest it now as you received the credit.
  25. It does state the unused funds are non-refundable when purchasing bar tab, and they have added the ability to buy $100 and $200 chunks instead of just $300 now. If I had made an error prior to boarding then I would be on the phone getting it sorted before boarding (same as if I made an error ordering with Amazon or anyone else). I did have an issue where although I only purchased one lot of $300 VV incorrectly charged my credit card but that was refunded without argument as shoreside could clearly see if was their error and the money wasn’t credited on the ship, just two credit card charges.
