  1. Currently shows as £235 for me. but can only buy online for the next voyage. If you want to purchase for future ones you’ll need to call.
  2. I was just saying this today, I’d be quite happy scanning a code, inputting the table number and ordering from a website. Also I think the Galley should have been designed so that the counters where you walk up are located together and the hot food counters should have been smaller with online ordering.
  3. There are six hot tubs in total, two mid ship next, two near the aft and two in Richard’s Rooftop for suite guests only. Then there is a jacuzzi pool midship. We’ve got about 900 guests and there has always been room in the pools and loungers available. If you want to sunbathe there were loads of loungers on deck 16 above the pools.
  4. The food onboard is great, had dinner last night at Razzle Dazzle with a good butter chicken curry and tonight at Test Kitchen. Untitled Dance Show Party Thing is fun but Ships in the Night wasn’t quite as interesting for me. Had fun trying to keep up with the boy and dance class this afternoon. Shame a lot of smaller things were all on at the same time around 2pm today, there was four things I could have done.
  5. I’m onboard Scarlet and apparently there is about 900 onboard. Some spaces are busy but it’s not packed at all.
  6. as a Brit the other odd thing is that the menus are written in American and names for ingredients or even certain ingredients aren’t familiar, therefore if the mix of people on Valiant is less American it could just be the interpretation of the menu doesn’t go down as well. I’ve been on both ships and found the food to be pretty much identical. Currently onboard Scarlet Lady and had a great Butter Chicken curry in Razzle Dazzle last night.
  7. Haha, as it wasn’t in the post I hadn’t realised! Yes they should get through the $400 in 15 nights. meanwhile I’m doing a 14 night transatlantic in October and can’t decide whether to spend $600 or $900 for bar tank on two of us, as we get sea blazers bonus so $900 becomes $1275
  8. If you don’t drink alcohol then do consider whether it is worth your while spending the $300 on bar tab to get the bonus. Soda, filtered water, standard juice, drip coffee and standard hot tea is free anyway. Spirt drinks are $7 with cocktails $13-15, beer $6-10 and wine $7-13 a glass. Premium coffee is about $4. Test kitchen has drink pairings from $25 for non-alcoholic or $35 for alcoholic. so on a four night cruise you need to have around $75 of paid for drinks between you per day just to clear the $300 spend and then you’ll still have the $100 bonus to spend.
  9. We’ve decided not to risk it and booked a 1pm flight out of Miami. We had an option to fly at 10.30am but even though early disembarkation should be 7.30am I wanted to be able to relax and not keep thinking about what ifs
  10. Also in addition to the six bookable restaurants for dinner there is also the pizza place and the Galley which is a food court, these don’t need to be booked. The Galley is mainly a breakfast and lunch place as some outlets close at 3pm but you can get all day breakfast, burgers and some other items into the evening. Also The Wake and Razzle Dazzle offer brunch which can be booked once onboard. Then for snacks The Dock serves mezze and grilled items and the Social Club has hot dogs and other snacks. For the bookable dinner restaurants you can only book each one once for cruises under seven nights. If you want to repeat you need to do one as a walk up.
  11. Pretty sure it’s on the first night for all cruises. can see a line up here. Valiant Lady https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/618f05232eaf6a1a16e17505/2022-08-17#events Scarlet Lady https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/5a3193a0af8e4c3fb714386b/2022-08-17#events
  12. Every $300 gets the bonus. Doesn’t matter who buys it.
  13. This link will show you the current entertainment schedule. A lot is only added in the last week or two but it should give an idea. they do seem to have drag bingo on some cruises. Scarlet night will normally be the penultimate night. https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/5a3193a0af8e4c3fb714386b/2022-08-08
  14. Most of the time it’s fountain, only a few bars (Sip is one I think) have cans. Room service also supplies cans. But at most bars if you order a coke it’s fountain.
  15. that’s my thinking too, it’s like changing cubicles in clothes stores, single ones work fine. And as you say many people might put their swimwear on in the room anyway.
  16. out of interest what’s wrong with single cubicle changing facilities and showers?
  17. the Bahamas website states vaccinated people don’t need to test to enter. Only unvaccinated need to provide proof of test. see the big red banner on the website here https://travel.gov.bs
  18. the Bahamas website states vaccinated people don’t need to test to enter. Only unvaccinated need to provide proof of test. see the big red banner on the website here https://travel.gov.bs
  19. Virgin have updated their site to state unvaccinated need to get a test. The Bahamas haven’t changed their policy and have required unvaccinated to test to enter the country for a while https://travel.gov.bs i suppose Virgin could allow unvaccinated to board without testing and then stop those people from disembarking, but it’s probably easier to have the testing.
  20. why would having a tattoo parlour or record shop make any difference? For many many people no kids is a massive plus point.
  21. At least in the UK giveaways and prizes are tax free so we don’t have to worry about that!
  22. A friend got hot tea after dinner at no charge in Extra Virgin so I expect brewed coffee would be available.
  23. Don’t think they are limiting numbers, just they are still a new line and some people are not yet travelling as much due to covid.
  24. The wristband doesn’t do anything except look pretty and show that you sailed in 2021. If you go to the website or scan the QR code in the box it will show the benefits of Sea Blazer. You should have a $300/£225 off next voyage and if you add bar tab you get $125 bonus on every $300. To my knowledge there are no onboard benefits.
  25. It did happen again earlier this year (April/May) with both Valiant and Scarlet Lady offered at different rates. https://www.headforpoints.com/2022/04/14/virgin-voyages-cruise-for-80000-virgin-points/ https://www.headforpoints.com/2022/05/16/virgin-voyages-cruise-95000-virgin-points/
