  1. Thanks both for the responses. I was referring to the NCL having some sort of food available 24/7, that was all. But that makes perfect sense, and something that we are now looking forward to after booking. @Nunagoras- We have booked inside on the experience above the first one (can't remember it's name). With a premium drinks package. We've got our room number mid ship too, so we're happy with this. Really looking forward to it, but yeah, just not sure if there will be more queues then smaller ships or not, because it's all spread out with more things to do. Hopefully jeans and polo/t-shirt in MDR will go down fine, unless we have the gala/dress up night, then I will adjust more appropriately. Thanks again, to you both, definitely helped make the booking easier
  2. Hi, what is included in the 'normal dining options' as when we was on NCL, O'sheenan's was included which was like a British/Irish pub food place, I'm assuming similar, you pay for on MSC. Thank you for your reply, it means a lot and has definitely helped me towards what I want to do from my next cruise
  3. Thanks for response, so essentially just the main dining room and buffet that are included - the rest there is an upcharge? If so, do you think it will be like the other MSC prices or more?
  4. Hi guys, any response to this please. Currently looking at securing the flights!
  5. Thanks for that, I seen that the other day and like you say, not much info!
  6. Hi, I have not long got off our recent cruises around the Greek islands with Norwegian and we couldn't fault it at all. I have seen an itinerary that has caught my eye next year on the brand new World Europa, but I have a few questions as I am a bit unsure what to expect. Do we know what food is included with the cruise? I know there are 13 different dining venues, but I am unsure what we would have to pay for and what we don't have to pay for? I noticed all the different activities like the massive slide, the bumper cars, 4D cinema, various shows etc, I was wondering how much these would cost over the course of 7 days. What are the inside cabins like? Our last cruise was a balcony and it made all the difference, but I want to know if these are quite spacious or are they really small, compared to some of the smaller ships like the NCL Gem we was on not long ago. With a drinks package, would these be included everywhere, like the Gin club, the Pub, and all bars around the ship? I am unsure if some places don't allow it, and you have to pay a premium? Dress code? NCL was quite relaxed, and I enjoyed wearing a polo shirt and jeans for evening meals, is this acceptable on MSC or is it stricter for the main dining rooms? What are the differences between a smaller ship and a large one like this? Are there long queues for drinks/food and activities or is it quite simple processes I apologise for the questions, but like everyone, you want to be sure that the cruise you pick is right for you, and ultimately be one of the best holidays you want to go on. Hopefully someone out there can help me, and maybe any curious viewers might find some useful information from it I appreciate any and all help with making a decision on this, and maybe we might see you on these ships
  7. Do we know when we will start to see more of this? I'm thinking of booking, but also curious as to what restaurants and bars are includeed
  8. Just had an upgrade accepted for the Gem this weekend, from an inside to a balcony. Really happy with this!
  9. We have gone for the day we are at sea, as it will be something to look forward to and means we're not rushing to get back to the ship.
  10. Does anyone know when the Gem will make the switch, if it hasn't already?
  11. I think you use another card and transfer the money across. You will then have the funds, and then when going to a country, transfer as much as you need to, to that currency and then you can complete your purchase.
  12. I've just ordered a Revolut card, just a bit scared that it won't work when trying to pay for stuff abroad.
  13. I think this will be the option I'll go for, with Revolut. Do you have one
  14. Sorry, we are sailing NCL. I am thinking of getting a Revolut card which allows you to transfer money in to different currencies, it's a debit card. Thank you for the other comments, a lot of people from across the pond commenting which is great, and lots of varying responses, which is brilliant
  15. Yeah, I will look in to it as it's probably different this side of the pond. Hopefully there's stuff that is fee-free, but appreciate your comments
  16. Thank you both. I think getting a new card that has no charge for fee's might be pretty useful, saves getting cash everywhere.
  17. 38! 37 including the day we have an overnight stay.
  18. Got you! Thank you. I think that's all my questions answered, thank you everyone. Really appreciate it!
  19. Yeah I think it was around that much, I was just wondering because we've already paid. Would we pay any extra as we are in a speciality restaurant?
  20. Brilliant, that sounds fairly straight forward. Just need to remember to stop the minutes 😆
  21. Do you only have access to the internet, or can you go on to different apps on a device?
  22. Yeah, I am from UK and have pre-paid all my gratuities so there shouldn't be an upcharge should there? Even with the speciality dining? I think it will just be on my personal device, don't think I will use the PC at all. So there's a way to sign up on my device, and then every time I want to use it I log in, then log out again? As mentioned, it might be covered in my gratuities, but not entirely sure. Ah perfect, as long as there's no sort of hidden charges, then I don't mind. I'll check the link, thank you
  23. Oh perfect, no idea how the process works, but I assume onboard there will be ways of accessing it
  24. As we have free at sea and a speciality restaurant booked that's free for one trip per guest, do we have to pay anything at all for this? We've prepaid gratuities, but is all our drinks included as well - given we have a drinks package? I have another question regarding the internet, we have 150 free minutes. Is there a way you can use ten minutes one day, 20 the next day until it runs out or is it all in one? Assuming you can use basic features on your phone. Thank you
