  1. I imagine that happens more often than we think. One evening I ordered Decoy and none available and was offered Reservado cabernet from. Chile which I refused. Settled for the Cherry pie pinot which is ok but not great.
  2. Speaking of dty bagels, went to spa Cafe early one morning for their bagels with peanut butter and bananas. Bagel was stale so opted for a smoothie but tried again next morning..... well they ran out of bananas. 😆 Also no bananas foster the entire cruise in MDR. But they could offer peaches foster!!!
  3. Just because a wine is listed on the menu doesn't mean its available onboard. The better wines are depleted very quickly and you most likely won't find them again on your sailing. Just bring your own to avoid disappointment.
  4. Yes. I once ordered the 25th Anniversary martini priced at $16 and was actually charged $1 plus 20% gratuity.
  5. @ohiopops4similar issues on last cruise. I remember one evening at martini bar the server offered to make me a special martini after I told him what liquors I liked he went into another room and returned with some awful weak concoction. I took a sip and went to the World Class Bar. How would one know if they really use grey goose unless you watch them make the drink. If they can substitute the basic package for the premium then one assumes they can also give you a lower quality alcohol. I usually travel solo so my two bottles from home will be enough along with my HH drinks.
  6. The specialty teas are $5 However the ginger lemon which I like was not available on last cruise.
  7. Any coffees up to $9 covered under basic package is covered The Aspen which has 3 different liquors I believe is not covered may be $10 or $12.
  8. I just bought a favorite wine this weekend and will save for a future cruise along with another from my stock.
  9. On our February Edge cruise they had lots of Decoy. At least they offered yet a decent replacement red. I was offered Morphe or Reservado from Chile and I paid for the Premium package. This was on an 11 night Eclipse Hawaii cruise.
  10. Love their lemon and chocolate tarts as well as the almond croissants. Can't say I like theie cheesecake as the recipe has changed since pre covid. They use mascarpone cheese and was told they cannot always get it.
  11. I really miss the nice cabs from the past such as La Crema which used to be on the premium package. I once had a couple bottles left in my cabin upon embarkation (November 2019).
  12. For sure its not a supply chain issue. I live in Canada and get some fantastic Cali wines albeit sometimes quantities can be limited in certain stores but I can always hunt them down elsewhere.
  13. Hope they're stocking some decent wines for the PBP and training their crew members especially those serving on the MDR.
  14. I was on the Silhouette November 2021 and the good was actually quite good. No complaints on anything and that was a 10 night cruise. As was my February Edge cruise. As for the Eclipse 11 night Hawaii April 23rd service has gone so far downhill its pathetic.
  15. Guest services on the Eclipse couldn't care less. At least that was what I found. Horrible service in MDR and guest relations.
  16. I was also on that cruise and had a couple martinis at the martini bar; in all honesty I make better drinks at home. After that I went to the World class bar less crowded and far better drinks and service.
  17. I never did believe it was a supply chain issue. I'll just bring my own from home and use my Elite HH benefits.
  18. @cmoore5524I'm afraid it will fall upon deaf ears. I'll just bring my own wine from home and skip the AI package unless, of course, the price difference between the sail only and AI is minimal. Just yesterday I scored 2 bottles of Austin Hope cab which were in limited quantities and extremely hard to find, one will be traveling with me on my next cruise.
  19. That was the issue I had with them running out of Decoy which was the only half decent cab on the premium list. I mainly paid the $12 per day upcharge for some nicer wines and they kept offering basic package wines. The sommeliers were probably told not to offer anything greater in value than $14 a glass which is downright wrong and very cheap. Celebrity should be ashamed of themselves.
  20. Unless they are able to get some decent wines onboard I'll be done with the AI package. I have a UA flight credit to use by the end of this year so considering a 10 night on the Edge. With my Elite HH plus my 2 bottle allotment of wine that should suffice. It was such a hassle trying to get some nice wine to enjoy with my dinner on my recent cruise. Took away from an enjoyable dining experience.
  21. So sorry to read of Don's passing and thank you for taking the time to let us know. I will miss reading all his posts. My condolences to you and your family.
  22. I only bring on my 2 bottle allotment and if I run out I will utilize my Elite HH which will tide me to the end of the cruise. I had better quality wines during the Edge Happy hour than what was stocked on the Eclipse.
  23. I found these marked down recently at the LCBO at 20% off so bought several bottles of each. Freemark Abbey and Francis Ford Coppola reserve cabs. Both excellent wines.
