  1. Half Moon Cay and Princess Cay are two other private islands that don't have piers.
  2. The Prima is the new baby and also carries fewer passengers than the Breakaway Plus Class ships so thus the tendering process would be easier. Just got off of the Encore and GSC was switched for Nassau and Nassau ended up getting cancelled because of weather so it was another sea day. But we did get a small port charge refund so I was happy about the weather issue.
  3. Have you dined at the steakhouses on Celebrity, Carnival, Royal and NCL as well as Princess. I have and the costs involved are more at the other four even if Princess is now charging 39.
  4. Why do you feel that way? If you're against the size of the ship, there are still 15 other ships in the fleet plus countless others in competitors fleets for you to get your cruise fix on.
  5. Since you recently cruised on the Encore, are long pants required in the Manhattan dining room for men? They were not required on our Bliss or multiple Escape sailings nor at Hudson's on the Prima. We have two nights reserved at Onda and just wanted to know about the other five.
  6. And what was it replaced with? We're on the 1/8/23 sailing, have also had GSC replaced with Nassau and would hate to miss one of the two shows as well.
  7. Sometimes dead horses can comprehend, other times they can't.
  8. The improvements between the Celebration, which debuted 16 months after the Mardi Gras have been applauded by multiple reviewers that have sailed on both. We'll see first hand when we sail on the Celebration next week. It's nice when tweaks can take place between builds in order to improve on a prior mistake.
  9. We'll make sure they have enough food for your hollow leg and tapeworm since we'll be on the 1/3/23 sailing. By the way Benny, 1/8/22 was when we were both on the Apex last year.
  10. Since the Sun is coming out in February of 2024, even if it's sister ship doesn't come out till late in 2025, the schematics will be already be in place, construction will already have begun and any variances would have to be minute, right?
  11. Since when has November of 2024 sailings opened up? I assume it's November of 2023.
  12. In over 5 years you have 148 posts, so you are obviously just as experienced on the CC boards as you are with the marketing strategy of NCL. Nothing wrong with my statement whatsoever, not looking to win as well, just trying to educate someone that is obviously close minded regarding the nuances of the marketing policies that NCL engages in. If you feel that NCL is deceiving you in some way, there are of plethora of other cruise lines that you can take a cruise on.
  13. Please quote me online or video verification that Carnival brands will add 1 or 2 per year over each of the last 3 years in the decade. I'm going by two different cruise experts on YouTube that post 4-5 times each per week and both said that it was reported by Carnival that they were done with new builds for the rest of the decade after the ones in the pipeline that of course include the Sphere Class ships of Princess.
  14. Fully agree that there are no bad cruises, only ones that are better than others. But that fact still doesn't change the situation that after the Jubilee debuts 11 months from now, it's the last new Carnival ship for the rest of the decade. And that fact will come back to bite them in the butt while their competition all have at least four new builds while Carnival has none.
  15. The fact that RCI has more older ships than Carnival does not play into the equation at all. You state that MSC is a one trick pony, yet they have awfully deep pockets since their parent company did not bleed billions and billions and billions like their competition, including of course Carnival. The bottom line is that as things stand the Jubilee will be the only new ship in the company over the next six years at a minimum, yet RCI, NCL and MSC keep cranking them out and giving potential new blue cards to Carnival shinier new toys on the other lines.
  16. Just did a bit of research. The category you want is D4. There are 4 on each deck from 8 -14 and 2 on deck 15, so 26 total on board. I just went on a third party cruise website and under the D4 category, it was listed as guarantee only. The problem is that if you went with it you could get a free upgrade to a mini suite, which would result in putting you in an area where you don't want to be since I will infer you want the aft view from your balcony and the mini suite would be on the side of the ship. If you want this particular cabin category, it looks like you'll have to change ships or change dates.
  17. Hand his wife a toothbrush and tell her to get on her knees.
  18. As is usual on CC, you need to constantly remind some readers. The reading comprehension of those standing on the other side of the line in the sand can sometimes be a little weak.
  19. Since you're from TX, you'll have lots of opportunities to snag deals out of Galveston since that port seems to be the darling of the cruise lines these days and MSC will soon be bringing their ships and deep pockets to the largest state in the lower 48.
  20. In order to fill up the two Sphere Class ships, Princess needs to expand upon their current business model and they have decided to take a few pages from their competition. The one area is the ship within a ship concept, which has done well for NCL with the Haven, MSC with the Yacht Club, Celebrity with the Retreat and RCI with the Star Class. The second area would be to have something else for families and that's where the ropes course and sky ride come into play. It also appeals to the demographic that Princess already has, unlike a wave rider, rock climbing wall or water park which would be skewed towards a younger crowd. Pivoting like this will upset many of the classic Princess cruiser crowd, but it's needed in order to try to alleviate the billions of dollars in debt that Carnival Corporation currently has.
  21. The answer is obvious to anyone that knows the games that the cruise lines play in order to generate bookings and try to obtain new customers. But, does everyone also realize that if you pick the sailaway rate, you also are just guaranteed a cabin in a certain category and NCL chooses it for you.
  22. Maybe if Carnival started thinking outside of the box then maybe they would have the money to come out with a new ship sometime between 2025 and 2029. RCI, NCL & MSC all have multiple ships in their pipeline through the end of the decade, while Carnival only has the Jubilee and was announced last week that there would be no more. They are stuck on a treadmill while their competition moves forward.
  23. Of course. You had to fill the big toe of your hollow leg. Can't believe you had surf n turf plus a duck for two for Christmas dinner.
  24. Huervos rancheros, skillet cake, stacked french toast, 2 eggs Benedict, bacon, scrambled eggs with potatoes. A light 5 course brunch.....
