  1. Besides the Prima, which other ship in the fleet has alfresco dining at LeBistro? Certainly not the Bliss or Escape.
  2. The problem with NCL is that they only do anytime, while other lines still give traditionalists the option for set time. The major problem with RCI is their Dynamic Pricing policy with drink packages and excursions. The prices fluctuate depending upon the length of your cruise, the ship you sail on and the date of your cruise.
  3. Are you talking about cruisers on the ships or posters on the threads?
  4. Since no one on these boards is a bean counter with NCL, no one can give you the definitive answer you're seeking. But I did hypothesize that the change was made summer of 2021 after cruising resumed post Covid. The cabin arrangement is totally relevant. You get one clam shell for free which will accommodate two people. If you're staying in a suite or the Haven and you need additional clam shells, you can certainly afford the 45.00 less your latitudes discount for a second clamshell.
  5. What is the current dress code in the MDR on US based MSC ships? Are men allowed to wear docker shorts and a collared shirt or are they forced to wear long pants because it's the European civilized thing to wear?
  6. I will infer that the "rowdy" behavior that Carnival is referring to is not misbehaving around the pool, but rather throwing the first punch and physically attacking another cruiser. By having eyewitnesses and possible cell phone footage, the situation would no longer be broad and subjective but rather narrow and definitive.
  7. Got an email with an E card a few days after coming home from our MG cruise. Better than a FedEx package a week plus later.
  8. If you're trying to save money by cramming four people into a cabin, then you can certainly pay the cost of the second clamshell minus whatever discount you're entitled to. As to when, how about post COVID, that's when many prices have escalated across multiple cruise lines.
  9. Anthem of the Seas November 27 out of Bayonne. You can even wear shorts to all of the specialty venues on RCI, unlike Le Bistro on NCL. Known by firsthand experience on the Oasis in June by my DH.
  10. 3000 in real estate taxes will get you to March, April or May depending upon where you live in NJ.
  11. The powers that be at Carnival are fully aware of the casino trick, so YMMV.
  12. They are expensive to rent, around 200 for the week. If she can be pushed, you can buy a rollator for half that price or less depending upon weight capacity and quality.
  13. Too expensive? What are your real estate taxes? Edit.....earlier in the thread it was mentioned to move to FLA. I mistakenly assumed you lived in between MIA and FLL, where the taxes can't be more than NJ. We live in southern NJ, so our taxes are high, but not as high as yours.
  14. The Vibe cost is a sliding scale depending upon the length of your cruise. A 7 day cruise is 229 pp. We're on the 11 day repo from Galveston to Miami and it was 289 pp. We booked it. You can now book it ahead of time on line. Check out various YouTube videos. Looks really nice. Much bigger than most ships.
  15. Saw it every day on our last NCL cruise which was February of 2019 on the Bliss. Expect to see it again on the Encore in January as well as the Prima at the end of this month as well as February and March.
  16. 1) Not applicable, non smoker 2) Look down at the carpet. On the other ships the fish swim towards the front of the ship except for the rebellious fish that goes against the flow. I believe there are arrows or some other new design that designates forward. 3) Cash grabs are going to be even more prominent because of the billions lost to Covid. 4) That's how things roll these days. The standby line opens up 10 minutes prior to showtime when any reservation holders fail to show up.
  17. Which ship is your cruise on next spring and where are you headed?
  18. So, are your life long friends, the cookies, the oranges, the beer on tap or the wine on tap? 😁
