  1. Harry Thank you so much for that, it’ll be great to be able to celebrate my stepsons 60th in style.
  2. That was my first port of call, no joy, hence the question to P&O who are experiencing unprecedented levels of query, unprecedented must be the most overworked word in the past four years not just by P&O but all and sundry.
  3. I would heartily recommend Epicurean having used it on Azura. I and a few members of the family are sailing on Ventura later this year with one member of the family having a milestone birthday. I should like to book Epicurean for us all, however one member of our party is vegan and whilst I have attempted twice to establish via P&O ‘question and answer’ if vegan meals are available in Epicurean no answer has been forthcoming. Any of you seasoned cruisers know if this is available?
  4. Jockey had him perfectly well placed turning in to the straight, but once the race got going in earnest he started hanging and never looked like getting in the thick of things. Maybe needs a rest. I’m sure Megabear will be disappointed but at least she’s got plenty of cruises to look forward to.
  5. Max Moseley would have paid a fortune for that!
  6. Indeed, ran a cracking race, looked well beaten a furlong and a half out, so frustrating that he usually finds one too good for him. Still think 10 furlongs will suit him, what do you think Megabear?
  7. Looks good Jane, but think I’ll stick to the barber trimming my eyebrows when I have my haircut (anything to avoid the Dennis Healey look!).
  8. Thanks to you all for the birthday wishes, unfortunately the weather won and we all repaired to the pub where the Guinness extra cold went down a treat.
  9. Must be all the best people having a birthday today, another Taurus, personally think it’s all a load of bull. I’m expecting a parade led by trombones later along with the family for pizza and wine in the garden, just hoping the weather stays kind.
  10. If you have a surplus of green beans I’m sure P&O will take some off your hands!
  11. Unfortunately lost by a nose, two more strides and he’d have won. Ran a cracking race on his preferred going having hung very badly on the soft in the Lincoln.
  12. Jane I can only echo what everyone else has said and hope that you heal quickly. Perhaps a drop of something might help you along your way, purely for medicinal purposes of course.
  13. Didn’t recall that it’s called St. Colmans, but now you mention it have a faint recollection of a mustard decor😂.
  14. I recall being very impressed with Cobh Cathedral when we called there on a cruise many years ago. Awesomely peaceful just taking a pew for a few minutes and enjoying a bit of introspection.
  15. I see Dutch Decoy is entered in the Lincoln on Saturday, is he expected to run and if so any indications on his chances?
  16. I can only echo all the previous sentiments expressed on here. It has been a daily pleasure to read all about your travels and travails. Must confess I worry about Royallondon’s reading habits if 2 months papers can equal a Caribbean cruise😳. Hope he/she doesn’t regret it when sweating in the galley!
  17. Not uncommon at all. Billy J Kramer who was part of the Mersey sound and had several hits in the sixties is still working at 80 and actually had to beg on social media for funds to pay his bills after his wife died.
  18. Oh I don’t know, rumour has it that a prince of the realm is something of a regular there as long as the aircon is working okay as he doesn’t like to sweat.
  19. Is Roy Wood part of the entertainment on this cruise I wonder?
  20. And watch all the men run like hell because they were half expecting you to carry out a prostate examination😳.
  21. They were never the same after Graham Nash left for sunny California instead of rainy Manchester. He was also Joni Mitchell’s boyfriend for a while. I just don’t see the attraction myself, much!
  22. I’m sure Heston Blumenthal would be able to come up with the ice cream if P&O commissioned him.
  23. Flipping ‘eck, Doddy spent every waking minute counting his money, especially when the taxman was around,
