  1. No, I said, "the entrance to the Jazz venue is in the entertainment neighborhood where hundreds, including young families, at a time congregate to get into various venues". I never said, "family venues". I stand by my comment, "hundreds, including young families, at a time congregate at the various venues". I believe that at the 5 venues below (although, I believe On Air is one deck up), all are available to young families unless specifically for adults only and young families can and do congregate while waiting to get in or just socializing. Also: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/guides/oasis-class-ships-things-to-do-guide YOUR GUIDE TO EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD ON THE OASIS CLASS SHIPS When the sun goes down, Entertainment Place lights up. Located close to the action-packed Royal Promenade, this is your go-to spot for the hottest nightlife onboard every Oasis Class ship. Think live jazz and blues at Jazz On 4, a speakeasy cocktail lounge inspired by prohibition-era Chicago, late night belly laughs at the comedy club, karaoke sessions at the On Air Club, and dazzling performances both onstage in the Main Theater and on ice in Studio B. Entertainment Place also serves as your gateway to Casino Royale℠, so feel free to step inside and place a bet if you’re feeling lucky.
  2. This is not an argument. But, you may be happy but many others won't. So many folks are so rabid anti-smokers, the mere knowledge that there is smoking going on, even if not detectable, they would be yelling and screaming at the top of their capabilities. For some, enough is never enough.
  3. I could. Why? Because I'm now D but don't plan on using it, at least not much. I like to mingle with my peeps.
  4. Who knows. We probably won't know until it happens. Or it leaks out.
  5. Yep, maybe combine the Comedy Club with the Jazz venue and make it a multi-use venue.
  6. Not having read any follow-on posts. My guess to the answer to your question is that Pinnacle would have priority. Pinnacle has unlimited availability to the CK, whereas a JS has CK availability only at dinner time and only if space available.
  7. I guess, for once, we will have to agree to disagree. The middle class is being squeezed out and not upward either. No, I don't want to turn this into a political debate.
  8. Then, not necessarily you, people will be complaining about walking by the casino and smelling smoke. It's a no win as far as that is concerned. My anecdotal statistical analysis, LOL, of this subject is that most complainers of the smoke smelling casino is that they want a casino all to their own, something they don't want to HAVE to walk through. Well, now they're going to have it. The following is not meant to be a wise guy comment but it holds true now: If you don't want to smell smoke in the casino, don't walk through or gamble in the mixed (smoking/non-smoking) casino. Also, if I remember correctly (on Oasis Class ships), the entrance to the Jazz venue is in the entertainment neighborhood where hundreds, including young families, at a time congregate to get into various venues. I can only imagine the complaining if it is turned into a smoking casino. However, it's possible that the entrance to the new casino wouldn't be in the entertainment neighborhood. Who knows, it's a wait and see type of thing.
  9. But, the younger folks are getting poorer and poorer. Yes, some, a very few are strongly advancing, no doubt. My opinion - They need to keep going after the old money. The younger folks are hanging on by a thread.
  10. 2 ears - Yep 2 eyes - Yep 1 mouth - Yep ........ Check under the hood - Fuel injector, check, exhaust system, check, ...................... Good to go.
  11. Are they just doing away with the physical location DEDICATED to Jazz and moving the band/music to another location? It seems they are. So, the only thing lost is the DEDICATED physical location. On the plus side, the myriad of people that hate the smoke filled/smelling casino now have their own space to call their own. For me, that's a big plus. As stated earlier, I'm not a big fan of Jazz, but love a casino (well, my wife loves casinos, happy wife, happy life), neither of us smoke, and I have no aversion to smoke filled locations. So, if we are traversing the area, see the non-smoking casino and feel the need, we stop in the non-smoking casino. For once, I agree without quarrel with this decision by the mothership, if factual. It's a win for the non-smokers and for non-smokers that like a smoke free casino and the Jazz fans still have their Jazz band, just not in a DEDICATED location.
  12. Well, it's a win win for us. We aren't big fans of Jazz and we love Casinos. Sucks for Jazz fans though.

  14. When I was in high school and shortly after, I worked for Marriott-In-Flight at FLL. We catered the airlines. This was in the early to mid 70s. That's back when almost every flight had a meal service. There were special request options for religious reasons. The Kosher meals were, like you said, pre-packaged and frozen meals. They looked a lot like TV dinners.
  15. My RCCL invoice still has it on it. I just got and update yesterday, in fact. Not that I agree with it or plan to obey it.
  16. Just a little of "The World According to Jay" here. I wouldn't take the critique, good or bad, at face value. You need to experience it yourself. We all have different tastes, expectations, and hopes. They don't necessarily comport with our own. Having said that, there are some folks that have a lot of experience. I think John is one of those. So, I'd take his review and keep it in mind. I also keep in mind how the review/critique is written. But, I'd still experience it with as little preconceived notions as possible. I'm/we're booked on the Harmony in Jan 2024. I've read a lot of reviews about her, some good and a lot bad. I think the most popular negative comments are the fact that there is no pool in the Solarium. That isn't a concern of mine as I don't do pools, much. I do like the hot tubs though. Food is subjective and ever changing as to who is cooking the food, the kitchen staff, here today, gone tomorrow. BTW, we are also booked in a 2 Bedroom Aqua Theater Suit. We love them. We're on the deck 8 though, would rather be on 10. It wasn't available at booking time, over a year ago. My suggestion, go, see for yourself.
  17. Sucks to be them, I guess. I believe you are a TA. I think I remember that. Do you AUTOMATICALLY send your clients a copy of the RCCL invoice? I'd bet you do.
  18. Yep, correct. But, they were in my email, before I hung up from them, TA or Representative. I always make sure of that.
  19. He's Diamond, just ask him. So, it's not his/her first cruise. You know, he/she has had lots of opportunities to read his various Cruise Ticket Contract(s). TA has nothing to do with it, my opinion. I can't believe an owner of several businesses hasn't, through ignorance or willful, read the Cruise Ticket Contract, at least the important parts (the Cancelation Policy).
  20. I agree with your premise. But, there are lots of laws of U.S. laws and regulations that apply to cruise ships. Otherwise, the USCG would not be allowed on them. The various Board of Health/Health Departments would not be able to inspect them. If a crime is committed on them (U.S. Based cruises, that is) then there wouldn't be a need to report it to the FBI, which is required. Law suits for trips and falls wouldn't be tried in U.S. Courts. My intent: Just to clarify.
