  1. My favorite newer option on the app is the Nextcruise portion... I can put my deposit down for Nextcruise right from the app anywhere, anytime on the ship.
  2. I rarely have cash...just for the tip if I go out
  3. Yes... your picture pops up every time it is scanned,
  4. We had it on Oasis in early October...we loved it. We still don't buy any of the pics, but it was fun looking through them each night!
  5. And here is a short one that I took of 9705 on Oasis 20230129_132245.mp4
  6. We loved ours on deck 9...almost right in the middle. Never too noisy, but could hear the music from the show if you sat out there. We would definitely do it again
  7. If you want to get points for your time, I assume they need your card
  8. We stayed at the Yve hotel- right down the street from the port, with a van they will take you in.
  9. What was the issue that caused you to wait in line at GS? I have yet to have to contact GS on any of my cruises, but I THINK you can call from the room phone if it's something simple, might save some time. Glad the cruise was great, otherwise- Looking forward to Symphony from NJ next year!
  10. Hmmm... I did mine on the phone, but now I look at the booking and "dining request" just has a blank line next to it. I still have 10 months, maybe I'll call and at least request a time. Thanks!
  11. Honestly, they need to just include it as a service fee, stop calling it a gratuity and stop making it an "option". This way everyone pays it, whether they realize it or not, and then hopefully still tips cash because now they don't see the word gratuity on their invoice, and their cheap asses won't feel so inclined to inspect where every cent goes.
  12. Do you make this request once on board? We have our first MSC cruise booked and did Fantastica- not really concerned MUCH about dining and times, but would like to request a general time if it's possible...just want to make sure it's not something I should have mentioned to the Customer service rep on the phone, or wait to do on board.
  13. Swim, walk around, eat, people watch, start getting money worth out of the drink package, just relax on the deck or in central park, there's a lot to do- you paid for the day, might as well get some use of the ship.
  14. Absolutely! They never even offered my kid a kids menu after day 1 when he ordered a steak.
  15. They can but they rarely do. You're lucky, I'm booked for a GTY on Liberty in July and still have nothing! I keep checking, but at this point I'm guessing I won't get a room until closer.
  16. That's too much work for a family- we bring mostly carryons, but still don't feel like rolling them around for 2-3 hours before our room is ready. We haven't had one lost yet and it's nice to get to the room and the bags show up. We don't use the tags, though- just stapling the paper ones on a few times and a piece of packing tape does the job
  17. I really appreciate the reports, makes me more excited about ours in a few months. How was the buffet on OC? That's another one I keep reading horror stories about the lines and crowds. Do the food trucks have just basic burgers\dogs, I assume?
  18. Northeast/Long Caribbean April '25-April '26 will be released 2nd week of February
  19. Very cool, when we visited Cozumel exactly one year ago this week, actually, we did Mr Sanchos. You're place sounds like the same type of place, with buffet and drinks included, beach and inflatables... but sounds like a much more relaxing place, which I prefer these days. Sanchos was a bit more of a party atmosphere. So if we make it back there anytime soon, I'll definitely check into this place!
  20. I guess Royal was the one who trademarked it, then... Royal Caribbean Group said it worked with international regulators including the U.S. Coast Guard to ensure the new process met all safety requirements. The company has patented or is in the process of patenting the eMuster technology in countries around the world and plans to license it to other lines. It said it is waiving its license fee during the coronavirus pandemic so other brands can begin using the system immediately. It said it already has granted a license to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
  21. You know almost every line does this now. Royal caribbean started the "e-muster" and all of the lines followed suit. But MSC still has the worst of the e-musters from everything I read.
  22. Some people actually like being with a majority of the passengers, not stowed away in an ivory tower. You enjoy it, that's great. We are sailing the exact same class, deck and room type as the OP and really enjoying the thorough review. And making me realize that I definitely don't need YC. Thank you, @Ryan82I think the only difference in our room is that we are closer to the middle of the ship on deck 10, between the lifts.
  23. I'm booked for fantastica later this year...a "chance to request dining time" is an option for me..also, the room service is only no delivery charge for breakfast..still a charge for the items themselves
  24. Although the website states one thing, it's ship specific. On Oasis (and I think all of the Oasis class ships) it's literally just 6-12 and 13+. My 11 yr old hated it and signed himself out after 10 minutes because he said it felt like kindergarten. Next time we sail, he will be 12 and I guess I'll request he gets bumped up to the 13+ group and see how he likes it. I really wish they ALL had a 6-11, 12-14 then teen club.
