Here is what they look like currently- you only have to carry these if your ship has a coca cola freestyle machine, which is the touchscreen coke machine with TONS of options. If your ship doesn't have these machines, OR if you just want to ask the bartenders for sodas, you don't need to carry this cup around- you can always use your seapass and just ask the bar for a soda if you want, you just won't have as many options from the bars.

I feel the same way- I live in a very large (and considered pretty dangerous at this point) city- Philadelphia. I'm pretty sure visiting certain parts of Philly, NYC or Chicago are just as, if not more dangerous than walking around Nassau. I think it gets overblown, just like any major tourist city- there will be areas to avoid and people looking to prey on outsiders. Just be aware and have a good time.

Liberty of the Seas Guarantee
Scottdalfonso replied to LorraineP's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have a GTY on Liberty, but no category is assigned. Just says "GTY" on the invoice, So I guess I just wait... I still have 6 months so I know it could be a while -
The smoking area is actually usually pretty fun. I don't even smoke but I'll sit there with my wife when she wants one, and it's the one place we always strike up a conversation with other people.

Port Canaveral is a nice day to stick around and enjoy the ship, or you can do a few things in town, we took the city bus right outside the port to a mini golf\gator farm type place right down the road. You could also wander over to the restaurants right in the port and grab a drink or two and a bite to eat.

We are having the same dilemma. Only 90 minute drive to Bayonne, We sailed oasis out of NJ in October, and sailing Liberty this summer to Bermuda. We really want to sail Symphony next summer, but just can't bring ourselves to basically pay more for the same exact cruise we did on Oasis, and basically the same ship. We LOVE the oasis class ships, but we just really have no interest in stopping at PC, Nassau OR Coco cay again, so we are actually looking at cruises out of Miami for next year, OR maybe doing a Canada run on Liberty, but want to make sure we like the ship this time around, first.

Passenger Walks Into Wrong Room
Scottdalfonso replied to TBone2K's topic in Royal Caribbean International
So I responded to this on Reddit- My theory is that the door wasn't closed tight and someone just walked into the wrong room. He claims he heard the door beep and click...they all do that when you put your card in, they just don't actually unlock if it's the wrong room...so this person could've easily put the card in and pushed the already open door. I know we have to give our doors a shove most of the time to close them tight, so this is very possible. -
Oasis of the Seas - Deck 8 - Noisy?
Scottdalfonso replied to ellie424's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not unless you have one of the few rooms that back right up to music hall, otherwise you'll hear nothing -
Phew...it wasn't that confusing. He meant October of 2025...there was no specific day of the month given.

Sounds like a plan...especially since I'm in Philly and we will ALSO have tons of stuff going on (including world cup games AND the MLB all star game that summer!) I can do a little USA Birthday city hopping. -

See...I'd LOVE to do Symphony, as I want to check out another Oasis class ship. We did Oasis twice last year-same thing, now our son is spoiled, hoping this summer on Liberty isn't a let down for him, lol. I'm cool with going to the same ports once or twice in a short span, but my wife is really weird about it and is basically shooting Symphony down since its "the same exact cruise, on almost the exact same ship as we did in October" So now I'm looking at the Liberty to Boston\Canada trips, or maybe I can talk her in to at least trying Odyssey later in the year, it's the "same cruise" again (PC, Nassau, Coco Cay) but at least I can probably convince her it's a completely different ship! My kid, on the other hand really doesn't seem to care as long as it has pizza. -
I think he means October 2025

Yeah, the prices are really high.... and the funny thing is, I'd love to do the Canada trip, but I'd rather do it in like June or July, when the weather would be real nice up there, and not on the cooler side. You got that right!! And mini golf... that's the ONE thing kind of keeping me from booking Odyssey! My kid might be devastated with no mini golf....but bumper cars would likely fix that. -

Maybe I'm in the minority here...but don't you pay FOR a port heavy itinerary? I'm looking at the NJ sailings and the Canada one is the only one even remotely appealing. I can only do PC\Nassau\coco cay so many times (once...once was enough) -

I just hit "nj" then click on the calender. If it stops in April '25,I know they haven't added the ones I'm looking for -
This past October on Oasis from NJ they canceled or cut short every performance. They ended up doing a few "abbreviated shows" on the last night to let people at least see some of it. It was basically a few 20 minute shows with no diving. Luckily we had seen it earlier in the year, but I felt bad for everyone on the ship that were really hoping to see it since it's so good BUT I agree, book it for maybe the 3rd night or so. That way you're out of the Northeast, but if it gets canceled, you'll still have other days to try and get there.

It'll most likely be Wednesday, all of the other releases seem to have come on Wednesday of the week listed -
Older ship, older crowd, older traditions
