  1. Our early dining on Oasis a few months back was at 5pm... it was WAY too early, missed the sail away on day 1, had to rush back if we wanted MDR dinner on port days... late (or mid if it becomes a thing) dinner from now on!!
  2. Apparently a lot of states have off for Presidents day week (we are in PA and have NEVER had more than just the day off) so that could be part of it..... THIS is the other part. The last two times we sailed, it's been during school because it's cheaper, and we don't really want to visit the Caribbean in the dead of summer. We have no issues taking our kid out of school for a few days to spend quality time with family while exploring and learning about new places. It's a win win for us.
  3. I would definitely agree that is the reason for it.
  4. This was on Oasis a few months ago, when you clicked the AHA button on the left, it opened a second screen with the flavors and one was always just "sparkling water" then there were others listed like Lime, Orange, cherry flavored....etc.
  5. I think it's a good spot- not too far from the elevators, the restaurant won't cause any noise or issues. There doesn't even appear to be any connecting rooms midship, at least on deck 12. But You are only one floor from the kids clubs, but they are on the other side of the ship so noise wouldn't be an issue there, and two from the pool deck. It's up to you if you feel the need to be mid ship, but I'd stay with those rooms, for sure!
  6. I see one going TO LA from Tampa and FLL, but not the other way
  7. hmm..not sure. I know it had plain sparkling water...don't recall seltzer. Can probably just ask at the bar for that
  8. Ok. sounds good- will try @mcoler181 method, and if we don't get lucky with that, at least I know we can maybe wait until the next morning if needed
  9. From what I have read, you go to your room, watch a video, call a number then wait to be called down to check in at the actual station, correct? I also have seen mentioned that the elevators are off at this point? My wife has a bit of a walking issue- not that she can't, but steps are rough on her knees. Is there an elevator kept in use for mobility issues, OR am I able to go to the muster station and get us both scanned?
  10. I haven't been able to see any extras for purchase on the site or app for about a week now.
  11. I only did it once on Oasis, but found it really slow- maybe I didn't lean back and tuck the elbows as much as I should have, but I found it fun... just pretty slow. I think on Utopia they are adding rollers or something to keep you moving...and some see through panels in the slide.
  12. The food is fine, people want convenience and cool experiences.... I'd rather they spent the money on the new elevator systems and things like the "medalion" where it will track you anywhere on the ship, unlock doors, order drinks and have food delivered to you where ever you are.
  13. It was removed as far as I know..we had it on oasis Last February, but it was gone when we went again in October. And I know it's not even available on Icon at all
  14. We gave one away as a souvenir that was still wrapped... the other 3 are taking up a ton of room in my already crowded cabinet but my kid insists on using one of them every once in a while. I'm about to bring one to work and leave it here for water...not sure how safe it would be with hot fluids
  15. This was from Oasis in October, so should be the same. There are quite a few of the freestyle machines on Oasis, too.... when you board on day one, there will be a table right in the promenade where you can pick up the cup
  16. So you enjoyed the Wonder aqua show more than Oasis? I haven't seen the Wonder one yet, but I just know I see a majority of people say the one on Oasis is by far the best one, so now I'm curious!
  17. Here is what they look like currently- you only have to carry these if your ship has a coca cola freestyle machine, which is the touchscreen coke machine with TONS of options. If your ship doesn't have these machines, OR if you just want to ask the bartenders for sodas, you don't need to carry this cup around- you can always use your seapass and just ask the bar for a soda if you want, you just won't have as many options from the bars.
  18. I feel the same way- I live in a very large (and considered pretty dangerous at this point) city- Philadelphia. I'm pretty sure visiting certain parts of Philly, NYC or Chicago are just as, if not more dangerous than walking around Nassau. I think it gets overblown, just like any major tourist city- there will be areas to avoid and people looking to prey on outsiders. Just be aware and have a good time.
  19. I have a GTY on Liberty, but no category is assigned. Just says "GTY" on the invoice, So I guess I just wait... I still have 6 months so I know it could be a while
  20. I think everyone seems to agree $3-5 seems to be the average. If we order a bunch of stuff and it comes up in 7-8 trays, then we give them 5 bucks. If it's just 3-4 trays or a small order, 3 dollars is usually the tip
  21. The smoking area is actually usually pretty fun. I don't even smoke but I'll sit there with my wife when she wants one, and it's the one place we always strike up a conversation with other people.
