  1. There are many great coaches in football who could never play the game but they have expert knowledge and experience helping others who do. As long as the advice and expertise is correct, I will live with the physical hypocrisy. My opinion of course. 😄
  2. Well, I think you should take back your statement, "He is high maintenance." His personal water filtration system is first-rate requiring no pre-filters." 😁
  3. Yes, we have been beaten down to the point where we are critiquing which is worse during MDR, shorts 🙁, swimsuits 😮, or thongs 😲. 🤣
  4. Try and remain positive until your own eyes and tastebuds go onboard. Please report back when you do. I have three cruises this year and I am hoping for the best.
  5. You provide excellent examples of disregarded policies that I cannot argue against. They happen. Do not ask me to approve of disregarding those policies. 😉
  6. You add to a previous statement that I made in response to this statement. I wonder if we are just being played with. I just signed off on it and let it go. Unless you are going to agree with their viewpoint, your words will not matter.
  7. No question about your statement regarding the chair rules being violated does not happen on every cruise. Many policies are violated but do not ask me to agree that they should be violated. My problem was the poster trying to have those who abide by the rules agree with them that vaping in a non-smoking area is not a violation of the rules. They can disregard the rules but do not try and convince me the rules SHOULD be broken on purpose or agree that it is ok to break them.
  8. He is a high-end BBQ salmon specialist. You cannot afford him. 😉
  9. Plese refer to my post #26. I have no dog in this race. Why even worry about this when we will have to do whatever the cruise line mandates? It is a moot point to get worked-up about any changes that we will have NO control over except to not purchase the cruise fare. 😉
  10. We will have to agree to disagree. You completely disagree with my point of view and vice-a-versa. This conversation is getting us nowhere. You have your opinion and I have mine. Have a nice day. 🤐
  11. "Train like it is real and when it is real you will do it like you were trained." Pure repetitive reflex with no time to think about it. When the adrenaline is high, repetition is the key.
  12. So, you admit, there might be long term harmful effects but there is not enough data to confirm their harm. That does not prove they are safe. This sounds exactly like what the tobacco industry did for years until enough people were harmed and they were successfully sued.
  13. Please do not cherry-pick my words and yes, PASSIVE VAPE is HARMFUL. No, while being LESS harmful it is STILL harmful. Life Insurance companies, especially health insurance companies treat it as smoking. 14. Almost all vape has nicotine ingredients. Nicotine has been proven to constrict blood vessels and your heart has blood vessels. The constriction creates an environment conducive to plaque buildup which leads to cardiovascular disease. 15. Some good valid points. There are normally multiple bathrooms in a house. You can isolate from others in that way and the atmosphere does not demand that others have close proximity to you. There is a negative pressure exhaust vent over the showers on ship which does help to isolate the odors and moisture in the ship's bathroom (head). Maybe after your first cruise you will get a better handle on how they clean things compared to your expectations. 😁
  16. The more I think about it, this might not be feasible. By default, everyone's purchases and packages are deactivated until a crew member from the muster-station reactivated them through their RCI I-Pad. You can immediately see the problem with this for we are involving and counting on RCI IT to create a flawless working program. When the program fails and even those who did go to their muster-stations are still locked out of their accounts we are looking at mass chaos, "Cats and Dogs, sleeping together..." (Ghostbusters). There WILL be a mutiny of passengers requiring the ship to be evacuated at dock or use the lifeboats to escape. One way or another, we are going to the muster-stations. 🤔 "Next person in line with an idea........."
  17. So, you like "old school". That'll work too! Unfortunately, the beer drinkers will think you are "offering" them a "plank" and be waiting for 5 glasses of different beers to taste test. 😏
  18. I have not historically wiped or disinfected the room. Everyone has their comfort level. I am a handwasher and sanitation gel type of person but not obsessive about it. I have not gotten sick on board to the best of my knowledge. Different types of foods, especially on vacation, can affect the GI tract but I did not attribute that to any infection. 😌 The system is showing its age. 😉
  19. Do not worry, if I see someone holding up their hands at the muster-deck, I will think of how they handled B.A. Baracus (Mr. T, A-Team) and find a way to make you unconscious for the journey. I do need to know how much you weigh and any health issues you might have. I need your weight for the dose and to determine how much dead-weight (pun intended) we will have to handle in order to keep you alive. 😁 Just do not hurt me too much when you wake-up surrounded by 264 people in a floating sardine can. 🤣
  20. The amount will be changing every fiscal quarter as RCI needs to show a dividend and debt improvement. 🤣
  21. All I know is that when I get onboard, I will do as directed concerning muster requirements and will have no choice over the matter. No reason to fret over something that is out of my control. 😐
  22. As the newer ships change to LNG, I hope the soot situations clear themselves on the aft cabins. The last thing I would normally think about is how an expensive aft balcony requires you to wear slippers in order to work around the situation. Happy to see that you had a good overall experience.
  23. For me, those moments do not exist. They are just "episodes" of memories that got canceled because of poor ratings. 😒
