Agreed. Some of these posters could have given advise in a much nicer way. For example saying that the OP was "crazy" for bringing that much could have been said much nicer. For example: I honestly don't think packing that much is necessary and you probably won't need that much. But Carnival has no official policy. Everyone has the right to state their opinions but should do it with respect.

Don't let others opinions get to you. Some people just like to be key board warriors and judge others from behind a screen. Do as you like and enjoy your life the way you want. Any one who gets kicks out of calling someone crazy because they may over pack that says more about them then it does about you. I'm the type that usually needs an extra bag just for shoes and will probably have 2 smaller suitcases and a back pack. My mom over packs as well. Hopefully she will limit it to but I doubt she will.

I have a free cruise offer in my offers right now. It's for a last minute cruise inside room. Leaves end of Feb for 5 days. It says on the offer that its a Last Minute Casino Offer.

Do they still do the towel animals? If so do they just do them in the morning cleaning now?

I will be sailing solo for my 1st Royal Caribbean cruise in Nov. That's great I will get double points to start off on.

I was thinking the same thing. It's not worth it for less than 2 days on the cruise. He's better just not going. Also agree about the job part. What a crappy company to work for. Unless it's something important that just came up. But if the time off was already approved it's not right for them to change it now.

Personally I would do cruise 2. If you've been to the other ports before its fun to explore new places. For my upcoming cruise I tried to find one that didn't stop in Cozumel bc I've been there a few times. Still ended up going there though.

This is good to know. I live in TX but will cruise out of New Orleans sometimes. This adds to the pros of choosing NO over Galveston. This time I chose NO for 2 reasons. 1. It was less expensive then the one out of Galveston and 2. My mom has been wanting to visit NO

This is a very good point. I don't think my mom will drink enough for her portion to break even. But I will drink more than the amount needed to break even so I think overall we will still come out to make it worth it. Or at least break even. She will drink coffees and water and maybe 2 or 3 drinks a day. I will more than likely drink more than 8 a day.

I'm going on a girls cruise in Nov. The girl I was going to room with doesn't want the drink package bc she doesn't think she will drink enough. But I decided to get my own room for various reasons.

This is why I plan on purchasing it. I like trying new drinks plus don't want to worry about how much I'm spending on the cruise

I did the same thing. I checked the prices of the different offers and added in the cost of Cheers. I booked a casino offer and it saved me a lot more plus the OBC. And deposit was only $100

I also got the social. I just need my kids to be able to contact me while gone. They all have FB, Twitter or Snapchat so that's all I need.

If I book a single room I don't pay attention if it's connecting or not. I chose the best location on what's available. I don't care if there is door between us or not.
