  1. Oh, please, no - I hope this is not the direction HAL is moving. NOT having a bidding process is one of the things that, for me, differentiates HAL and keeps them as my preferred line. I firmly believe showing only 2 capacity cabins as available during the booking process (to those booking for 2) eliminates the majority of the "bait & switch" dilemma being discussed. And is a reasonable business plan.
  2. Some people take the confirmation just in case, but I've not had an issue w/OBC not being on my account when it's on the booking confirmation. Once onboard, you will see it on your statement in the app & on the stateroom TV. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  3. Same - not seen pictures at bars or shops, do see them at gangway. The shops will collect signatures at checkout so fairly easy to validate purchases if necessary.
  4. @rafinmd hope all goes well at your oncology appointment today.
  5. Grrrr - my post disappeared!! I'll gladly celebrate Earth Day 🌎 and Girl Scout Leaders; I have many fond memories of my time in the Scouts and still buy their cookies. Barbara Walters was a ground breaker - I'm sure that wasn't easy. I like some coleslaws so we'll see what recipes come our way. No idea what the drink is, would try the wine, been to Mykonos once (June 2017) but no pictures as they're on my computer. Thanks @Quartzsite Cruiser for your beautiful pictures. Thanks @aliaschief for another round of fabulous pictures. Prayers 🙏 @JazzyV for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Yesterday was a great day w/the grand. Bubbles were a huge success - DH has not lost his touch w/the ladies, lol. DGD had her face painted at the art festival - soooo cute. Today is full of phone calls to confirm records were sent to PCP so she can complete LOA papers. Feels strange to not check messages and not set alarms for conf calls. I'm sure I'll get used to that fairly quickly though. Currently cool 45° headed to sunny 72°. Maybe the yard will dry before rains return on Friday. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  6. About half the time is massage the other half being seaweed and shower. This has been my favorite until they removed the waterbath tables, so I no longer do them. But the massages really are the best as typically the best masseuse do these treatments.
  7. Dec 2023 no good way really to avoid the mob, but there was a line specifically for 4*, 5*, suites & CO. You have to be diligent about showing that & the Priority on the boarding pass as they will try to just put you in the lines.
  8. I love chocolate covered cashews and fondly remember kindergarten led by Mrs Kunkle. Yes to the meal (ham & cornbread also sound like a winner - what time is dinner @Seasick Sailor?), would try the drink, pass on the wine, not been to the port. Elvis certainly helped change the music world. The northern lights volcano picture is beautiful @0106. So thrilled Tana was able to enjoy family dinner @smitty34877. Today is visiting w/grand - we'll be gone for her birthday (the adorable but trying 2 yo) so we're delivering books & bubbles to her today. Rains finally stopped & not due to return until Thurs night, currently 52° headed to 66°. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  9. It's been raining 🌧 here since very early this morning. Safe travels to them as they go from Austin to Houston; Houston is prone to flooding.🙏 Go Ren!!⚽
  10. So thrilled 💖 you are going - you deserve this!! I'm happily following along 😊 looks like a great itinerary. Bon Voyage!
  11. Temps continue to drop as does the forecasted high. Now have a flood advisory. I just need to make it home from my appointment & let the dogs out, then it can do whatever it's threatening to do. Lot of us seem to be in the path of bad weather- Stay safe!
  12. Ooh - the Institute has opened its long awaited weekend tech support shop with First Customer prize going to @kazu!! Is the prize membership in the Bubble of Awesomeness?🥳 So happy to hear you made it to FL & are dangerously close to going on a cruise - enjoy @kazu!!🥂
  13. Welcome to CC! Unfortunate you have to cancel anyone from the cruise - hope all goes well. Will you come back to update us on the final outcome? Curious as to what HAL allowed you to do.
  14. Where in N MN are you located? I went to college in Moorhead - go Cobbers!!
  15. Interesting collection of days - I'll pass on Cli-Fi day after reading @grapau27 educational post. Pass on the meal (b sprouts), drink (beer) and wine (price - ouch), not been to the port. Good day in racing history. Thank you to everyone for the suggestions re my cat. It's hard leaving such a social guy completely alone. The vet was no help - said "we have availability if you'd like to board him." No thank you - I can't imagine being locked in a cage for so long🥺 So, we'll find a sitter, but not sister. And we'll be sure the dog door is closed - I didn't even consider that he might bring something inside the house.🫣 Yesterday ended up being a very long work day - got the guide published w/no review from boss then spent 2.5 hours covering the project recap & checklist w/him & my fill in, then another 2.5 hours creating some auto-subscriptions for 50 users that had to be done before I could log off. HAL was closed by the time all that was done, so I did not get to call about the courtesy holds I did. We'll see what they say when I call today. Extra hugs🤗 and prayers🙏 for those with procedures and losses; the list is long. Rains have begun and the thunder is really crackling & booming; Mr Weather doesn't know it's dumping. 💦Temps dropped a tad since I first checked. We had already reached our high for today, but now we have a couple points to go. Currently 59° headed to a rainy 61°. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all. Light rain? No, we need Noah to send his ark An hour ago, I got this
