I have been looking to book my 2024 cruise and I am excluding all ships with IV's. I want a traditional balcony I can sit on and watch the ocean roll by. If there are enough people like me the IV's will fade with time, if not there are always "All Inclusive" resorts to go to.

We did a Princess cruise in June and the "find you anywhere" was inconsistent. We would get our food or our drinks but never both. And I don't mean they came at different times, they just randomly cancelled one or the other without any notification. We did better the latter part of the cruise where we had one person order food and the other drinks. I hope they have improved the service.

And you can't order room service from the Main Dining room menu anymore. Not sure exactly when that one changed but be aware that's the policy now.

More kids on board would be a good reason for tighter enforcement of "No kids" rules.

I looked at "Aqua Class" when I was booking and the pricing made no sense to me so I went with a Premium Verandah, Drinks package, Primium WiFi, Two Specialty Restaurant nights, Glass Blowing, Ship tour and Blackjack tournament and still saved money over Aqua Class.

I swear I'm trying to stay positive, but since I have booked I have learned: There is a $9 fee for room service, Room service drinks are extra (even with a drink plan), Anything in the room fridge is extra, the MDR is not open on E-day (going there on other lines was always a great start to the cruise for me), I can't get Room service on E-day, No second lobster (if we even get one). I am not getting the warm fuzzies I usually have pre-cruise and if I didn't already have sunk cost in Airfare, I'd be looking to change cruise lines.

I'm not Concierge or higher so MDR is not an option. How about room service? Is that available? I want to avoid the buffet on E-Day.

Speaking of lunch, I'm on the Equinox later this year, am I reading this correctly that the main dining room is not open on embarkation day?

Good question. Here is the quote from last weeks' sale VS this weeks sale for my cabin on the Equinox in September for my solo cabin. Not quite as good but still ~$200 better than when I first booked it.

Does this mean a delivery from room service costs $9.39 ($7.95 x 1.18) or is the 18% dependent on what you are ordering? ie would delivery of two burgers cost more than one?

An HDMI cable does not take up much luggage space so I'll pack one and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

On my upcoming Equinox cruise, I would like to be able to hook my laptop to the TV to watch movies either stored or streaming. Does anyone know if the cabin TV's have usable HDMI ports? I was on Princess recently and the cabin TV had zero HDMI ports. Or if the TV's support casting that would work as well.

Does anyone know if Celebrity ships support Wi-Fi 6?

Problem solved. Checked the website today and the cruise was $400 less than when I booked it so I called (waited on hold for 40min) and they reduced my balance by $400. That'll pay for a lot of room service.

Interesting. My cruise is on the Equinox in September and as you see, for me it still says complimentary.

As of last night the Celebrity app still shows room service as being complimentary during normal hours. Is the service fee already in place and the app is out of date or does it only apply to trips booked after the January change?
