  1. Just read the sample Ember menu. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/sites/default/files/2023-04/aquamar-ember-dinner-sample.pdf I'll miss Jacques on Vista https://www.oceaniacruises.com/Documents/Menus/1705/Jacques-Dinner-Menu.pdf
  2. I traveled solo this past March in Antarctica. It was a wonderful experience. I can send you a video I made of my trip if you'd like.
  3. Do rooms 8066 and 8069 on the R ships have noise issues from Terrace Cafe, such as early morning set up? Thank you.
  4. Does anyone know what the space is across the hall from rooms 518 and 618 is on Whisper? Thank you.
  5. Does Oceania include the Oceania Club benefits, free gratuities/OBC, with your free 20th cruise?
  6. We did do the DP dinner and it was wonderful. We paid $299. per person, plus gratuity. The price has since gone up to $399. per person, plus gratuity. We chose to have this experience because we had enough ship board credit to cover it. We've also done the other La Reserve dinners when they were $99. I know the price has increased for those as well. As to whether or not it is worth spending over $900 for the experience, that depends on, 1) how much you value this type of experience and 2) your wealth. The food and wine pairings at all of the La Reserve dinners are superb. They are some of the very best dining experiences I've ever had. If you're a "foodie" do the less expensive La Reserve dinners (I think they are currently $150, but don't quote me on that). If you're a foodie and can easily afford the cost of the DP dinner, then why not do it? Life is short. And, they do not skimp on the pours.
  7. The ocean view rooms are the same size as the B veranda rooms. If outdoor space is not important to you, then these rooms are quite comfortable. The C rooms have more natural light than the D rooms as the C rooms have a large window and the D room have portholes.
  8. I am boarding World Navigator today. I stayed at the Holiday Inn EZE, very close to the airport. I will stay there, one night, at the conclusion of the cruise. It's reasonably priced, very good food and nicer than a typical Holiday Inn. Only downside is that their airport shuttle only goes one time per hour.
  9. I board World Navigator today. I'll be posting my reflections when I return.
  10. The scenery from the ship will be beautiful. But you do need to do shore excursions to really see Alaska. There will be some wonderful offerings. You can also book private excursions. Do some research, it will be worth your time.
  11. There is no bar in Toscana. There is happy hour 5-6pm in Horizons and Martini's. Of course, cocktails are served at both venues until late. I like Horizons because the band that plays there is usually very good. A window table is nice if it is still light out. You can request a window table when you arrive for your reservation. If none are available you can either wait for one or be seated.
  12. The aft balconies have 2 lounge chairs in addition to the regular chairs and small table. If you enjoy the privacy of your own outdoor space, the extra large balcony is a bonus. We love these rooms for that reason. However, the baths in this category are very small, especially the shower. They are perfectly functional but inferior to the PH bath.
