If your spouse does not want to use their free classes can you use them? So instead of three, I would get six?

Going on Oasis with the kids and grandkids next week. I have three 2026 cruises for them to choose from. What perks are available if I book on board? The information I received with final documents has special OBC for booking on board, but it is for booking within the next 12 months, I’m looking at 24 months out. Im paying for everybody (thanks Grandma) so the perks do add up.

On Viking Neptune May 2023 they had organized MJ in Manfredis. The few cards they had available were from past years. Bring your own card and maybe a few to share if you want to play American MJ.

I cancelled my Deluxe Beverage package Dec 26. Credit was issued right away. It took one hour 45 minutes for the reserved label to be removed from the cancelled DBP so I could repurchase at a lower price.

We took a boat ride downstream to the town of Skradin where we had a meal and then caught the bus back to the ship.

I just did this tour on an Oceania cruise a month ago, but saw Viking “lollipops” along the way. It is a beautiful setting and moderate walk until the last 30 minutes or so. Then it is fairly steep downhill, lots of steps that are natural rock so uneven. There is a railing. Not necessarily hard, but you do have to pay attention to your footing and the depth between steps. We took a boat ride to Skradin (beautiful) for lunch (meh), and caught the bus to return to our ship. I would not want to walk back up the waterfall to a bus. BTW…the bathrooms are quite a distance from the base of the falls, cost 1 euro and have no electricity which means no lights. I’ll let you use your imagination on that one. The people in our group who went to use the facilities were gone most of our free time.

We received the same email as sugarside on our Neptune cruise out of Bergen recently. Upon arrival we checked in at guest services and waited for Mamsens to open to have a late night bite. Unfortunately, Mamsens did not open that night despite it being listed on the schedule, so we ended up ordering room service. Our luggage was delivered to our cabin.

On Neptune this May/June there were no yoga classes. It was suggested I hire their personal trainer to run a one on one sessions with me. No thanks. Last May on Star there were group yoga classes on sea days. It seems to vary by ship.

I am in it right now. Last night of this cruise sadly. It is a fantastic location. A few yards from Explorer’s Lounge and Mamsens where there is coffee and light breakfast set up each morning. Easy to get to the World Cafe and Pool Grill. The only down side as Mollymoo mentioned is the laundry. Lots of walking up and down the stairs looking for a free machine. We did have some rough nights sailing the Norwegian Sea, but that doesn’t bother us. If you are prone to seasickness it would not be a good location.

Thank you all. I thought I would give an update. After walking on a lot of uneven cobblestones the day before in Bergen, I decided to skip the demanding Alesund walking tour in the rain. My husband went and said I made the right decision. His comment, “It was easy if you were a billy goat.” We walked into town later on our own which was very pretty and easy.

Thank you PhotoPro. The Seabourn description is very helpful. Those of you who have been on the Viking River tour of Marksburg Castle in Germany will understand my concern over the rating. Making our way up the uneven medieval stone entryway was a challenge. Coming back down after it had been raining was scary.

In 13 days we will be on the Neptune cruising Norway and Iceland. We are signed up for the included Art Nouveau walking tour in Alesund. It is rated as demanding which has me a bit concerned as I’ve never seen a walking tour with that rating. Im hoping it is a typo. Has anybody been on this walking tour and able to give a report as to how difficult it is? Thank you.
