Just to correct especially one for which most people will need a visa (at the last minute),

Hong Kong is an Autonomous Region of China and has its own entry/exit rules.   The citizens of many countries, including the USA, do NOT need a visa.

But if you intended to spend 48 hours post cruise Hong Kong would be far more expensive than Manilla.

AND the "inconvenience payment" is an OBC not a refund so that doesn't help with the costs.

I hope that all 2000+ guests on the cruise bombard NCL with a complaint DAILY till something changes.   Remember the squeaky wheel; a 2000 wheeled avalanche might be needed. .

  2. Thanks to the "powers that be"!!!

Had I not been in for a full knee replacement recently we would have been on this cruise.  Phew!!   And what is worse it would have been the first of more than one.

It is probably the worst "change" that I have seen or read about that NCL has done.   I feel really sorry for all those who had have this thrust upon them, especially after final payment.

I hope that enough people "Kick up a Fuss" and NCL then does the decent thing in allowing a full refund for cancelling.   This is NOT the cruise advertised, it is not a CHANGE, it is a reorganization.

My reading of what I see is that you have NOT paid any DSC/PSC for your suite.

Firstly what does your Confirmation Email actually show?

    A recent one for us

    Doc3.docx

Note that there are Zero figures for the Bev Ser Chg and the Din Ser Chg as they are built into our fare here in NZ.   If you have Free at Sea and are not in NZ or Aus you may well have actual figures for those items.

Then we have a charge for "Prepaid Service Charge" to show that we have paid the PSV along with our fare.   You should have something similar if you have paid the PSV    (Our next cruises don't even show the DSC but have 2 x Australia Service Charge Balconies and Below in the "Add-ons" and so they are built in the actual fare too.)
