  1. Just noticed, its the same individuals who continue to beat a dead horse in most threads involving package. We just need to suck it up and scroll on by those comments to find the topic in hand 🤷‍♂️ 😂 ... Patiently waiting for those same individuals to reply to my comment will reveal names 😂
  2. sure they could have 🤷‍♂️, but I'm sure it wasnt anyone here 🙂
  3. Most likely different promo codes that automatically applies (or entered by TA) depending on the package you choose to give you the best rate/offer. This happens to me often when i'm booking vegas hotels with promo codes. I think its to prevent double dipping offers/promos.
  4. For ones asking about if Princess use customer feedback in consideration for changes, yes they do. Just because you feel something is bad/incorrect/difficult, doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. Changes is most likely due to your fellow cruisers not always entirely Princess. Doubt there was a beta version testing of the app because most app like this require actual cruisers to test, essentially we will be beta testers from time of release till February when it shut down the old app. The app is released in a few days, if your cruise date is not within day/week of this, easy decision, download it and test drive it. 🤷‍♂️🙄... if your cruise is during the new app release time, there's good chance there will be some learning curves and glitches. Upgrade at your own risk, not exactly rocket science. As mentioned, old app will stop working in feb, so why not just get a head start to learn the new app when its releases. Honestly, the current app is pretty bad. Its not user friendly and extremely slow, I'm sure new app will be extremely better because I dont think it can get any worst. Cant understand why it would take a multi-billion dollar company this long to get things right is beyond me. I'm actually excited with this new app!!!
  5. Wife was asking the same questions.... here a clip from the fine prints: Fitness Classes is limited to 2 classes per guest during the entire voyage. Applies to in-person classes, must sign up for class on-board by visiting the fitness center. Exact class type, length, timing, schedule, availability, and other details will be determined by the ship type and by Princess in its sole discretion. here's a thread with similar subject...
  6. I believed I read it on either princess's fine prints or here/another cruising site that it was mentioned. Hope someone with similar situation can confirm... From what I've research the past couple months, there isn't many reserved seats for premier; hope that they can possibly make an exception without issues. Worst case, you guys can just show up to the show a little early to get good seats together.
  7. Yes, i stand corrected.... As for reserved seating, I believe, need to find the fine prints, but others in the same stateroom are allowed. you might be correct with the under 18 yr old. i need to find the fine print to confirm.
  8. Not sure if you are referring to "premium drink package" as a stand alone or as the "Premier package", which includes premium drink package. I was told for the about same amount as the stand alone drink package, get the Premier package instead. ***Pretty sure you are referring to the Premier package.
  9. We are in similar situation... we booked our specialty dining for 4 of us ( only 2 have premier pack) so paying for the additional guest. same as causal dining. i think most soda (fountain) and coffee at certain area are included with standard package, or can be purchased....reserved seating will be group so she can tag along.
  10. We are in exact same situation. trying to figure out how to use our 4 specialty dining that comes with the premier package. our kids are 2 and 4 yr old and they dont eat much if at all. hate to pay, even half price for kids that barely eats.
  11. Do you know what ship this was on? Will be on Discovery this coming Feb. and wondering if this might vary from ship to ship. Assuming the waiter know we are Premier with our medallion? Was going to ask the same thing, but good thing i learn how to search for things 🙂 ... my screen name should be New2cruise2024, LOL
  12. so you are saying i have a chance? 😛 gamblers mentality!!
  13. Awesome, Thanks! That's probably where I read it from!
  14. Good to know, but with the unlimited casual dining (premier dining package) it wont matter with the size of portion, since we can order more, correct? Not for sharing, say for myself if I was still hungry. Our first cruise will be in Feb too!
  15. That's what I've read, the portion of food being quite generous. We are planning to ask when we get there, but was hoping someone here have experience that or have insight with staff being strict in that situation. Honestly our kids barely eat, couple bites here and there, just hate to be charged for being there (thats what i've read, cant find that thread). High probability kids will grab something at the Intl Cafe, so wont be ordering anything for them at the casual dining.
  16. Yes, but was more concern with getting charge even if they dont order. I read some where on another thread that they will be charged even if they dont order, so i'm asking to see how strict they are or if they actually charge.
  17. Hi everyone, first time traveler, so apologize if this is already answered (cant see to find anything on this particular subject) This question is regarding the casual dining with premier package. Wife and I have the package, but our kids doesn't (2 and 4 yr old). Since we have unlimited casual dining, will they charge for the kids if they tag along with us; even if they dont eat (well they will probably nibble some of our food).
  18. Hope we find some on ours in Feb on Discovery! With the kiddos, its added fun for them to seek!
  19. I was also thinking the same thing! Maybe its intentional so people get the premier. Great for PCL, but costly for the cruiser for sure. Since these packages are fairly new, they might make adjustments as it matures a little.
  20. Yep, no doubt PCL sales uses this to calculate profits, etc... Im sure their modern POS system keeps track and can be easily obtained if allowed to be given out. To the point of misinterpretation, It seem like it's happening quite frequent, people missed reading the previous quotes and misinterpreted what is being said. Reading what was quoted and who it was direct to helps gives context of what is being said.
  21. Same as you, we (wife and I) dont drink much, but wanted the chill vibe without worrying about what it would cost. Plus, the "Plus" package was included with our cruise. Even if it wasnt included, I think we would still purchase it since its our first cruise. We have a budget and intend to use it either for gambling/shopping, so adding the package makes sense. The unlimited casual dining also attracted us to the Premier. We did upgrade to Premier for many reasons, 4x wifi and 2x specialty dining. Weird thing is, we have 4 people in the cabin (2 adult and 2 kids), we were not force to purchase any package for them. $200 more for a 5 day cruise 2 adults is a no brainer.
  22. I was going to say the same thing, but i didnt see any mention of how long the cruise is for. That can get expensive 😂. Everyone is different, i would just purchase it for her.
