  1. @Georgia_Peaches They are the big pumps. In sky suite they are on a tray in the shower. Happy upcoming anniversary! 40 years for us in December β™₯️
  2. Good morning! We're sailing our way to Antigua, arriving at 10am. We had another great dinner at Cosmopolitan last night. DH had Branzino that was delicious plus it just looked so much nicer than the Red Snapper I had in Luminae on day 2. Our waiter Wiwid was entertaining yet efficient plus spoiled us by bringing a 3rd main dish that he wanted us to try! We will probably stick with Cosmo and Wiwid for the rest of the cruise. The production show Elements was beautiful! After dinner dessert martinis were delightful! I need coffee - I'm having a hard time typing this so off we go to Al Bacio!
  3. @Stem to Stern I got them on Amazon but you might find them elsewhere - sea-band.com acupressure wrist bands. We used them on our small ship Alaska cruise and they worked for us.
  4. Welcome to Barbados! It's gettin' hot in here! About a 20-30 minute walk to Agapey chocolate factory - worth it just for the smell but we thought the price reasonable $6.50 USD. Highly recommend and we haven't even tasted it yet! The walk was much nicer than we expected - along the water. Returned to the Retreat sundeck for drinks and lunch (chicken sandwich and turkey wrap very good!) MUDSLIDE for dessert πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ The scale is going to scream at me when we get home. 23.5 arc solar halo all morning! Everyone was looking up. I tweeted to our local meteorologist to find out what it was called.
  5. We didn't pack enough and checked in St Maarten - they were selling 2 tablets for $3.00 so I decided to pass and hope snap, crackle and pop leave us. I really don't like taking it because it gives me a hangover in the morning. Last night I put my Seabands on and it might be psychological but I think they help with sleep as well as with seasickness (which we have had none! yay!) DH did earplugs but I just can't stand them. You are correct - should not be a concern. We are having an amazing cruise but it would feel so much more carefree if we didn't have to deal with the noises.
  6. Hello friend! We're planning to attend their festival Mother's Day weekend in Denton. Last saw them in October and smiled our faces off! They are the definition of happiness and amazing music!
  7. Good morning from Barbabos! No view photo today because, well, it's a terrible one of cargo containers and warehouses ☹️ The good news, last night was INCREDIBLE and WE SLEPT WELL (still with snap, crackle and pop though) We had dinner at Cosmopolitan with this incredible view. DH had the Oxtail and it beat the Cyprus Short Ribs! I had spaghetti that was very good along with Yellow Corn Soup that was delicious and a FUN presentation (no "spoiler" photo!) Carrot Cake for DH πŸ˜‹ and I had Sacher Torte that is the best chocolate dessert I've had on the ship πŸ˜‹ Our waiter WiWid was wonderific!! We are going back to Cosmopolitan tonight and requesting him again! Off to the theater for the show REBEL. We.were.blown.away by these VEGAS entertainers! We never expected this quality of entertainment on a cruise ship. Not to be missed. After the show, dessert martinis - Toffee Apple and Coconut Cream-tini πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹
  8. On Beyond this week in a sky suite and experiencing the creaking in the ceiling AND what we can best describe as a jumping bowling ball under the bed. The first time it happened, we seriously thought something was under the bed. We slept pretty well last night but with OTC sleep med and 2 white noise machines. You must be reading my mind @SI Cruiser because I've been rehearsing how to ask Capt Kate about it in a way that she will have to give a straight answer. I think she does a Q&A at the end of the cruise? I also hear that she personally greets everyone on disembarkation? I had hoped for a Retreat "meet the captain" event but have not received an invitation of that sort. We are having a blast but we will not sail Beyond again and likely not an e-class ship again. We have a LIVE thread going....that I need to update soon because last night was phenomenal!!!
  9. it was pretty good - nothing to write home about but good enough! They also have focaccia that looked good but we didn't try it. The beyond signature is a rum, coconut, fruity concoction. If you have the app, there is a menu for each bar and they each have signature cocktails. I'm not really a cocktail drinker but having fun trying them. If you have a favorite "standard" drink, they will make it for you at any bar.
  10. What is it about vacation that makes you want to eat and drink all the time?!?! The plan was to skip lunch and just hang out on the Retreat sundeck until afternoon tea started in the lounge at 3:30pm. It wasn't even noon and we were hungry! We headed over to the Sunset Bar (first time there) - I got the Beyond Signature and DH got a Strongbow (on tap! They also had Newcastle on tap). Took our drinks to OVC for pizza and a sampling of desserts. Highly recommend the Beyond Sig. We went back for 2 more and are enjoying them on the balcony.
  11. This is an excellent explanation of e-class dining. We are on Beyond this week and this is our experience but my goodness, we certainly had unnecessary questions and concerns about it all. Celebrity definitely needs to improve communication. We are in Retreat and enjoy Luminae but are trying the MDRs too. Cyprus last night was wonderful - we made it "Greek night" and had the Cyprus exclusives.
  12. Good morning from St. Lucia! We were up EARLY for 7 laps on the track followed by Al Bacio for coffee and sticky buns then Luminae for breakfast. DH really enjoyed Eggs in Purgatory. I could eat the Cherry Yogurt Parfait every day for the rest of my life! πŸ’ We are staying on the ship today in a retreat cabana with a gorgeous view. It's like our own private sundeck! View of an airstrip - we're watching planes land! Snap, crackle, pop last night until around 3am when it stopped. We got some sleep but there will be some cabana naps today for sure. We are fans of the Malpass Brothers (google them if you like classic, REAL country music). They have a song "Sleep when the party's over" and that's just going to be my motto for the rest of the week. I participated in the game show "Pitfall" last night! Fun!! Orange Crush cocktail in The Club was refreshing 🍹
  13. Opa! Cyprus for dinner tonight was excellent! This is the Mezze board appetizer. DH had the octopus. We both had the short ribs and then galaktoboureko for dessert. Our team of servers were so attentive but friendly and approachable. We arrived at 5:20pm and left at 7pm. We're off to The Club in a bit for pub game night!
  14. Look what my DH brought back from the Retreat Lounge - tea time treats! Fancy water for me and that famous bourbon and peaches for him. BTW, he ordered one at the theater last night and it was pretty close to the same as the Retreat bar. Oh and a tip I thought of while enjoying a long shower with that wonderful Co Bigelow body wash. Yesterday when we went to Craft Social, we wanted some snacks so we went by Oceanview during "tea time" and got a plate of goodies, covered it with a napkin and took it with us to Craft Social. They sell snacks there but we're cheapskates πŸ˜‚
  15. Our attendant put beach towels on our bed last night that we assume are for taking to the beach. Enjoy your cruises!
  16. We had a lot of snap, crackle, pop on the second night. Less last night. It's just such a shame that it is a problem because it is a beautiful ship.
  17. Lunch at The Spa Cafe was the perfect "small bites" that we needed before walking off the ship for a bit. Everything was tasty! Followed by a bit of gelato/ice cream at Scoops πŸ˜‹ Seconds after we left the ship, it started raining β˜‚οΈ but stopped long enough for us to get over to the duty free to get t-shirts for our 4 sweet grandchildren. Very easy leaving and returning to the ship - cucumber and orange water, cold towels, beach towels and lots of welcome backs from the crew. We are feeling pampered! Note that we backed in so it will be a quick escape at 4:30pm! DH has gone to The Club for golf simulator and putting. Which reminds me, we went to Craft Social to watch the Master's yesterday. Loved it there! I had Tito's PunchπŸ˜‹ πŸΉπŸ˜‹ DH - draft beer. I think this is the only bar with draft? We met the MOST lovely British couple and had a delightful chat!
  18. @Arzeena We'll keep our ears open for info on Captain Kate's schedule!
  19. Not at all a coffee geek but we are on Beyond this week and are really enjoying Al Bacio. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent table service. Ask for a double shot.
  20. Can't beat this view while brushing your teeth! On the way to breakfast, we met magician Matt Johnson in the elevator with his luggage. We thanked him for his fabulous show and bid him farewell. He has a residency with Celebrity so not sure but we think he may be moving over to another ship. Great entertainer but even more, he seems like a kind and caring person.
  21. Good morning St. Maartin! Bacio for coffee and Blu for breakfast!
  22. Eden Cafe? It is under Coffee&Snacks on the app and is "quick service"
  23. Made our first trip over to Eden for lunch and it was very good! Mushroom soup was delicious as was the potato salad with my turkey sandwich. Only open on sea days for lunch so I'm glad we remembered that as we have 5 port days coming up. DH did the street curling competition this morning - fun! Eden is a relaxing area - this was our first aft view!
  24. Just back from breakfast in Luminae where we had dulce de leche croissants that were so yummy! We will have to try the almond at Bacio. @mac_tlc thanks again for your live report in Feb - it was very helpful with our planning. DH had a Bourbon and peaches last night and really enjoyed it. We are not big cocktail drinkers but enjoying trying some new things. Off to Beyond the Podium presentation about Caribbean reef fish in a few minutes. We enjoyed Calab Crawford's talk yesterday about sharks and rays. Stage Door is tonight!
